Episode Title: “A Red Wheel Barrow”

Synopsis: Carrie and Quinn pursue a key suspect in the Langley bombing, and Saul deals with a political backlash.

Did anyone see the episode?  Surprised there are no comments yet.  I’m not sure I know what’s going on LOL.  I think I said something back in the first thread that Carrie and Quinn would be going after Saul…

Also, now maybe the Venezuela connection, how the city Brody is hiding in and Saul traced where Javadi was embezzling funds, makes more sense and is not merely coincidental.

So, Damian Lewis made his second appearance in the 8th episode of the season.

Assuming he’s in episodes 9, 10, 11, and 12, he will qualify for all major awards bodies?

And just like that, Damian Lewis is eligible for all of the awards!  I am disappointed, but not surprised, as I mentioned that he could appear in the cliffhanger (seeing as the description for the ninth episode includes him nonchalantly).

Hopefully the bullet wound will teach Carrie a lesson, but who am I kidding?  Note to the writers: if the audience is cheering for the main character to be shot, that might be a problem.

If it is that easy to bug Saul’s house, maybe we should be taking the senator’s side.  Saul’s plan to save the Middle East was random.

The espionage was fun to watch, though.  Now would be a good time for the show to reveal that Saul is the mole.

I wasn’t going to say anything – but honestly, Carrie is like the one woman at this operation – guess who’s going crazy and jeopardizing the whole thing! Oh and guess who’s the one driving around the house where people were killed – the other woman CIA, who can’t hold her emotions. Probably reading too much into it, but I did find it offensive.
And with Carrie you can say it is simply her character. Okay, but still…
And no one is thinking – screw Brody, who cares! If he’s innocent then of course he should be exanorated, and I feel bad for Carrie for having to go through everyhting. But can we possibly have Carrie be a bit, just a little bit more rational. Not smart, but rational.

So, did that Lawyer/hitman(?) guy miss the second episode of Breaking Bad?  We all know what happens when you desolve a body in acid in the tub.

There’s a strange arrogance this show has built up over the years.  Like, they’re going to be as ridiculous as they want just because they will get away with it.  Now Brody is going to start training to become a Seal Team 6 member or something.  Cool.

He was already a Marine sniper.   Not much of a stretch.

Great episode, I seem to be the only one that appreciates when Damien Lewis is onscreen here at this forums, what a shame.

And he wasn’t wearing a gas mask, either. He was just breathing those fumes? Okaaaay….

I’m glad Quinn shot Carrie, too. She’s a dumbass. So laser-focused on exonerating Brody, that she didn’t care about jeopardizing the operation.  The thing is, she cannot even be 100% sure that he IS innocent, and probably doesn’t care. Brody’s behavior leading up to the explosion indicated that he was anticipating the blast. He positioned himself and Carrie over toward the window (why?), and nervously glanced out the window (even before noticing his car had been moved) before the bomb exploded. Why would he do that if he had no idea what was about to happen? If he had nothing to do with it, that scene was directed to put doubt in our minds. It sure did for me, anyway. So, to hell with Brody. He still conspired to commit an act of terrorism, and killied the VP, so all this “clearing his name” is BS, anyway.  Right man, wrong crime? Whatever. I kind of hope we find out he IS guilty.

And yeah, of course, Mira’s lover had to be shady. He couldn’t be just some normal guy who’s affair with Saul’s wife was the catalyst that brings them back together? That’s what I was hoping for, anyway. Now we have to believe that Saul’s house is easy to break into, and has no security cameras.

I wonder how long Saul knew of Brody’s location, and how he found out?
