Season 3 kicks off tomorrow night at 10pm on TV Land.

Personally, I thought the first season of this show was utter, horendous trash (with the exception of “Good Luck Faking the Goiter”) but the second season found a rhythm better. I can’t wait to see where it goes, especially with the Don Rickles cliffhanger.

    Any thoughts?

I found the first season to be a bit of a mess, but a guilty pleasure because I liked the actors.  I think the 2nd season actually shaped up into a solid sitcom.  It is broad and silly like “Will & Grace” but it genuinely made me laugh – alot.  I’m looking forward to Season Three.

I’m halfway through season 2. And I agree that season 2 improved quite a lot. The overall storyline was nothing new, but it was really hilarious. Wendie Malick’s Victoria Chase is a hoot!
Off the top of my head, my favorite episodes from season 1 were goiter episode and the parents visit. As for season 2, Sherri Shepherd has been the best guest star so far while I found Susan Lucci episodes to be very disappointing.

It’s definenetely my favourite sitcom nowadays and can’t wait till the premiere of 3rd season. The first season was quite messy but still a fun nonetheless. The second season was really good. And I cannot words to describe how I feel about Wendie Mallick. She’s probably the best comedic actress on television at the moment. Her Victoria Chase is becoming an iconic character for me. She should have been nominated for an Emmy and won that damn thing! Even “Bridesmaids” wouldn’t help Melissa McCarthy against what Mallick did in “The Goiter” episode.

I may have to skip that Kathie Lee Gifford episode…

Anyway, I will be DVR’ing tonights episode in favor of watching the Grammy nominations concert.

And NEVER expect ANYTHING from a TV show. Watch with no expectations at all. Watching a show and expecting something great will only result in disappointment.

I am not a Jennifer Love Hewitt fan, but she was super funny the last time she was on. She and Malick played off of each other so well, and she did a great job of imitating Malick’s character to be believeable as her daughter. Definitely looking forward to seeing her again.

I just finished watching the season premiere and this episode was a PERFECT way to enter the new season! There were so many times during this episode i broke out laughing!!!! haha i’m still chuckling and laughing just thinking about it lol. During the commercials they showed little scenes for upcoming episodes and they look REALLY good i cannot wait until Next week. Hot in Cleveland, Betty, Wendie, Jane, and Valerie you did it again! ๐Ÿ™‚ <3<3<3

I liked the premeire. White and Rickles did have some funny scenes together, especially the one where they are sitting on the couch. The marriage between Joy and Victoria led to some good jokes as well.

“Elka’s Choice” was okay.  I know the intention was never to have Betty White leave, or to introduce Don Rickles as a series regular, neither of which I would have wanted, but the cliffhanger was resolved so anticlimactically, just like Elka’s arrest and guilty verdict.  Yes the cliffhangers are just supposed to be fun and not really change the dynamic of the series, but I just feel like the resolutions are just so cheap.  That being said, the marriage between Victoria and Joy to further Victoria’s career is excellent! What a great way to continue that plot line from last season and hopefully it will continue throughout this season; definitely the highlight of the season premiere, with much thanks to Wendie Malick.  White and Rickles were very fun to see together, albeit with limited screen time.

This was just barely okay. Not a good premiere at all. Terrible writing and a terrible resolution to a juicy cliffhanger. I’m a little upset with this show, this episode was really a step down.

White had me laugh once (“Is that character also an idiot?”) but as usual Wendie Malick’s Victoria Chase. was the only character that was funny throughout. Even she wasn’t that good.

    Again, very disappointed.

I really liked this premiere. It’ll probably be Betty White’s submission if she’s nominated.

I also agree with what everyone is saying about Wendie Malik. I love BW. She’s hilarious…but Wendie Malik is by far the funniest castmember. She’s like Karen from Will and Grace (IMO IMO!!!). I literally look forward to her scenes within an episode.

I also liked how Kathie Lee pretty much did a “Kristen Wiig impression of Kathie Lee” impression, sorta.

I have a strong feeling that even though the premiere wasn’t the strongest episode, that the other episodes will be better. there are 24 episodes this season. Cant wait to see them all! ๐Ÿ™‚
