I couldn’t get passed the pilot even though I was so excited for the show. I’ll eventually try and catch up but the pilot was just so basic imo.

Does this show have slaves in it? Because that’s a deal breaker for me. (Same reason I haven’t watched 12 Years A Slave, Django Unchained (?) & Underground although I watched one episode for Jussie Smollett’s fine ass )

There are no slaves, it’s modern day

Smh that somebody sees a show about black people and assumes it’s about slaves.

But I really recommend watching Underground. It isn’t about slavery. It’s about freedom.

No absolutely not. It’s set in present day. Why is this issue a dealbreaker for you? This series is excellent and worth the watch.

Nice starts to the season. I was expecting a bit more punch with these episodes, but I know it’s coming eventually. Rutina Wesley is just brilliant here, and watch out for Dawn-Lyen Gardner. Once the mainstream discovers her, it’s done. Both are Julliad graduates, BTW.

Episode Title: “What Do I Care for Morning?”

Synopsis: Micah finds solace at Nova’s place; Charley confronts Davis about their custody arrangement; Violet’s time with Hollywood might be short-lived; Nova meets someone at a symposium; Ralph Angel confronts Jacob Boudreaux about spying.
