That episode of Blue Bloods was intense. Glad it did so well.

Great showing from the CW last night, The Flash got a 1.8 and Supernatural 1.2. The Flash was the network’s highest rated premiere since The Vampie Diaries.

CBS, NBC, and Fox were about even with last week minus Person of Interest which fell to 1.6, Chicago Fire to 2.1, and Mindy Project to 1.0.

ABC did terrible last night. Selfie fell to a 1.1 and Manhattan to 0.9, they’re going to get cancelled this week or next week. SHIELD hit a series low to 1.6 and Forever was down to a 1.3.

The drop with POI shows how much people don’t want to watch serialized shows on network. And why they’ll continue to make more mindless god-awful procedurals and won’t win Emmys.

Huge for the CW and based on the reviews, they deserve it.  It is always nice when America makes the right choice.

Monday was a really interesting night for ratings.  The Big Bang Theory and The Voice are still pulling great numbers, yet both of them are disappointing and we can now say have finally their peaks behind them.  Meanwhile, Scorpion is doing well for now and NCIS: Los Angeles is tanking for some reason.  Who knew that a show in its sixth season could be so lead-in dependent?  Also of note is Castle out-rating Dancing with the Stars.  I doubt that anyone saw that coming a few years ago.

Sleepy Hollow continues its decline.  That has to be discouraging the big four from making more short orders.  Under the Dome held up a bit better, but still suffered a big drop after the almost-yearlong wait.  It will be interesting to see if Sons of Anarchy and American Horror Story end the season as the highest-rated shows on a Fox network.

The reason for tanking NCIS l.a. is pretty clear! Blacklist!

POI could move to Sundays after also serialized good wife

They probably will be. It could have been Gotham but more and more people are dropping it.

    http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/10/09/tv-ratings-wednesday-stalker-red-band-society-criminal-minds-slide-black-ish-rises-arrow-premiere-up-from-last-season/312521/

Black-ish was able to improve from last week’s rating and got a 2.8. We might finally have a show that lasts until syndication in the post Modern Family slot. The Middle was even with last week while Goldbergs and Nashville went down to 2.2 and 1.5 and Modern Family to 3.4.

Stalker dropped to 1.7. It wouldn’t surprise me if that gets replaced with Battle Creek midseason. Survivor went up to 2.5 while Criminal Minds went down to 2.3.

Mysteries of Laura dropped to a 1.3. Given NBC’s ratings situation, it’s possible it could get an extended order but a full season isn’t looking so good now. SVU dropped to 1.7 while Chicago PD was even with last week’s 1.5.

    Arrow got a 1.0.

Hell’s Kitchen was even with last week’s 1.4 while Red Band Society dropped below full percentage and got a .9.
