The best reality competition show (except for maybe Survivor) is back!
It airs new episodes every Friday. For those of you who have never seen the show, I urge you to check it out! It has great drama with real-life consequences, a good sense of humor, and inventive ideas that you might just see a few months from now.
Plus, it has the best panel of judges by far.
This was a pretty good microcosm of what Shark Tank is: we had some ‘yes’ deals, some ‘no’ deals, a few food products, some bickering between the sharks, etc. I like that the show is trying out new combinations (swapping Damon out for Barbara), because it was starting to get a bit stale at points.
I’ve heard that they’ve also cast two more additional judges that will come in when there are scheduling conficts; as long as Kevin stays, I’m happy. As for the products, they were kind of subpar, but that’s only because it’s hard to demonstrate an object’s usefulness when it’s food. Sure, I can see the potential with a doctor-patient network, but I can’t gain any insight from the sweet pickles. This wasn’t Shark Tank at its peak, but it will serve as an ok introduction for series newcomers.
… Barbara’s dance at the end brought this from a ‘B’ to a ‘B+’
If Shark Tank submits episode seven for Emmy consideration, they will win the reality-competition category. It’s that simple.
It was the best episode they’ve ever done because it had so much variety, a guest shark, and an emotional pull right at the end. Get the word out to the ABC execs; this is the episode to choose!
Yup, great episode.
I love this show. It was robbed an Emmy (I cannot stand the overmanupulative Undercover Boss. Piece of contrived sh#t) And this episode was very emotional towards the end. However, I think the episode where Barbara and Mark swipe that deal from the other 3 sharks still wins for me.
Also, I really don’t like it when Damon (and Mark) do stuff like “PICK ME RIGHT NOW OR ELSE i’M OUT!!!” It’s like why? It’s almost as bad as Kevin and his “no equity, just royalty” deals.
I also really like Canada’s Dragons Den. I have CBC so I’m able to watch that show also.
Great episode, I loved how they destroyed the surfing guy. His product was terrible. 30min charge for $2800? What a joke. Favorite part of the episode though was the Tree-T-Pee guy, I was very happy to see him get a deal with JP. They should bring JP back more often, he fulfills the “nice guy” role much better than Robert.
