This is exactly the kinda show to surge in quality it’s second season a la parks and rec so I am very excited but this is exactly the kinda show to be largely snubbed by everything for most of its run a la parks and rec so I am very dismayed.

Hopefully Adam Scott comes back. I am still pissed he wasn’t submitted by the Emmys. He didn’t have a chance but he totally should have been nominated.

In hindsight, TGP was too smart and too good, IMO, for the Emmys. At least we have tomorrow night to see that the TCA might show the ATAS the error of their ways. A fool’s hope, but hope nonetheless.

Parks and Rec had a weaker first season and had a change in season two. I don’t expect TGP to have a big fall nor improve a lot.

Yeah, a shame really. Oh well, not everything’s gonna get in but ZERO nominations is very harsh.

I agree S1 quality was already high and it doesn’t need much improvement. That being said, I wonder about the tone of upcoming season – will it retreat to its sitcom roots or will focus on dark twist of that world presented in the finale?

I fault Adam for not submitting his name in the Guest Actor category; it’s up to the actor/actress/agent to do due diligence. He was thinking about Big Little Lies, I suspect more than his 3 episode stint on TGP.

    6 Burning Questions for Season 2 http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/good-place-6-burning-questions-season-2-1030727

    Cliff’s Notes:
    1) How bad will Eleanor be?
    2) How did Tahani die?
    3) Will the real Good Place make an appearance?
    4) What about the soulmates?
    5) Will there be more Michael?
    6) What, if any, big twists can be expected?

Except Parks and Recs sucked it’s first season, while TGP was the best freshman comedy on television.

I thought your favorite was Atlanta?

Not really on topic but I strongly dispute the popular notion that season one of Parks was bad.

I also am really excited for TGP! I wonder if being on Netflix will help its dire ratings. Since it is such a serialized storyline I would hate for it to end before we see some sort of satisfying conclusion.

I watched because it was added recently to Netflix. And it was really good. Loved the characters! Love the twist in the final episode. I hope every season they don’t get their memories whipped and have to found each other again. So we’ll see where S2 takes us!
