That premiere was more laugh out loud funny than most of season 1. I just hope they all regain their memories of the first season at some point

They pretty much did last night almost. But then you had Michael wipe their memories clean again and this time it’s gonna be a lot tougher. No message from Alexa Janet to guide Eleanor next time.

Really, isn’t Janet a human Alexa?

Great season premiere! The twist at the end of Season 1 opened up a lot of possibilities for the series going forward and we already saw some great, unexpected payoffs last night. I’d love to see Danson and Bell receive awards attention for their roles; I have a feeling Danson will have a particularly strong season now that he has so many layers of character with which to play.

I love this show. I haven’t watched the premiere yet. But I will not be visiting this forum because it is just spam.

Nobody’s kicking you out of here. And spam? Then every single series forum with a predominance of posts by one person can be classified as spam.

    The premiere was exquisite!!
I think too that it will be a very great season for Danson now that we know who he really is.
Really really confidant that this season is gonna be very strong and just want to know how they all gonna find each other now.

I liked the premiere a lot. I was annoyed that Harper was submitted in supporting last year because he was the co-lead. It’s the same this year. Danson was supporting last year. This year I’m comfortable calling all 3 leads.

I’m afraid the show will get tangled in its own stories, but I’m enjoying it. The premiere was great and it promises a great season.

So much this. Will it be enough for the show to get Golden Globe and SAG recognition, though?

I feel like Kristen Bell has a chance at the Golden Globes, but that’s it.

    Episode 2.3: Dance Dance Resolution
Written by Megan Amram; directed by Drew Goddard

Michael continues to work out the kinks in his grand plan. A big advantage? He successfully cut off the one route Eleanor had in finding out about his latest reboot – Janet.

That may have been the trippiest half-hour of episodic TV I’ve seen in a long time. 800 reboots in the first 9 minutes. And Sean still thinks Michael is on attempt #2 (!!). The cast works so well together, and good on us that they kept Tiya Sircar (Real Eleanor from season 1) around. She’s gonna stir up some serious S in the weeks ahead.

    Still 100% on RT: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/good_place/s02/

Solid episode that sets up a very exciting premise for the season moving forward. I’m glad they’re (apparently) abandoning the frequent rebooting for a more complex arc of Michael teaming up with the humans against “Real Eleanor.” And what a great storyline she’s going to have as Michael’s nemesis, too.

According to a KB interview, showrunner Michael Schur has 3 seasons broken out. At least.

I read something similar in an interview with Schur in Vulture:

We had a separate board where we put up index cards for season-two ideas. By the time the year was over, we had a decent amount of stuff written down for what was going to happen. Then while we were writing the second season, we started to do the same thing with season three, which we won’t even know if we get to do for a while. But with a show like this, it makes sense to always be thinking about where the show would go because it’s always on the move, you know? It doesn’t sit still for very long.
