Anyone knows if D’Arcy Carden will be back?

I checked her IMDb and she’s only credited for Blurb.

I saw it too, but it’s weird to have her for only one second.

Handle the emmy to Peter MacNicol just to save everyone the trouble. That was just perfect.

This episode was the first that made me laugh since “Georgia”. This is Chlumpsky’s best tape even though she shouldn’t be nominated. When she made the facial expression when she said she could flirt I bursted in laughter. I really like Duvall and Sutherland in this. I also laughed when JLD told Leon she’d give him Amy. Peter MacNicol was amazing. I laughed so hard. Thank goodness Dan is finally off CBS that whole storyline was pointless. I wish Adam Scott had more to do. He is one of my favorite comedic actors. Finally a good episode.

    My grade- A-

I think the season has no final aim, but it’s so fun at the end of the day lol

Really liked MacNicol, but I wish he had more to do to warrant a win.

There wasn’t a standout from the supporting cast this week, but Richardson and Chlumsky were probably the MVP.

Did I read Hunter’s post right? Even he liked the episode. I LOVED this episode Peter MacNicol totally blew me away. I think he did enough to warrant a nomination and win. With the guest categories, I think it can sometimes go to a strong recurring character who plays an important role throughout the season, and other times it can be by guest stars who come on just for an episode and deliver one of the best scenes of television of the year. I don’t care how many times she’s won, JLD deserves all the emmys she gets. I think Tony Hale might be my personal winner as well, it’s between him and Brian Tyree Henry. Veep is probably my 2nd choice after Atlanta for best comedy series.

I hope this episode is truly good, because I think I am in the minority when I say that I HATED last week’s episode. It was just downright offensive and not funny AT ALL! 9/11 jokes? Rape jokes? Even incest? In what universe is any of that funny?

I also felt that they made a huge mistake with Gary and Selina. It was an opportunity for them to take that relationship dynamic in a different direction, but they just dropped it.

I’ve been a fan of this show since day one, so I’m hoping that last week’s was just an unfortunate slip.

    Well there’s a 9/11 joke in this episode so….

I timed Peter MacNicol’s scene and it comes in at 2 minutes and 40 seconds. But damn, he owns every second and definitely deserves that Emmy.

Veep has lost its snob appeal. Which is why this season feels so shapeless from everything that came before it. Glad the truth about Tibet is out on the series. Nothing funny about a character who always loses.

It would be nice if the emmys could nominate more than two actors in the Supporting Comedy category like they did with Modern Family. I know Tony and Matt will be back, but Timothy Simons and Sam Richardson need to be nominated as well. Also, I don’t care if people think JLD has been overawarded, she deserves a sixth emmy, she is so good as Selina.

The producer of The Tonight Show thought it would be fun to…
    – Nothing is fun on that show.

I really loved the episode. “Shut the fuck up, Uncle Jeff!” Damn it, Peter MacNicol was hilarious. I wish all three Hale, Simons and Richardson could get a nomination, but we can only dream. And I was so pissed last season when Montez got recognition for Tibet, so I’m glad for Selina.

Snob appeal is not always a good thing. In terms of themes, though, which other comedies out there allow themselves the liberties Veep does? That’s snobbish too lol

As for shapeless, totally disagree — when power is gone, what is left? This is the point of the season. Forcing a plot to carry through the season out of nowhere like Master of None did with the Italian girl wouldn’t respond to reality.
