What do you think should be the episode tapes of the seen contenders? Drama Lead Actress is shaping to be a bloodbath as well just like its counterpart in Limited Series/ TV Movie category.

I am not saying these are contenders, but out of what I have seen (I am. It caught up on certain shows):

Mandy Moore- This is Us- “The Big Day”
    Shiri Appleby- Unreal- “Casualty”
    Kylie Bunbury- Pitch- “Wear it”
Taylor Schilling- OITNB- “It sounded nicer in my head”
Simone Missick- Luke Cage- “You Know my Steez”
Evan Rachael Woods- Westworld- “The Origional”
    Viola Davis- HTGAWM- “Wes”
Taraji P Henson- Empire- “Sin that Amends”
Claire Foy- The Crown- “Hyde Park Corner”
Kerri Washington- Scandal- “Survival of the fittest”
Herizen F. Guardiola- the getdown “Chapter 2”
    Claire Danes- Homeland- “Immenent Risk”
Melissa Benoist- Supergirl- “The Adventures of Supergirl”
Christine Baranski- The Good Fight- “Inauguration”
    Michelle Monnoghan- The Path- “Mercy”
    Kerri Russel- The Americans- “Immersion”
    Jurnee Smolette Bell- Underground- “28”
Katherine Langford- 13 Reasons why- “Tape 7, Side A”
Carrie Coon- The Leftovers- “Don’t be Ridiculous”
Elisabeth Moss- The Handmaid’s Tale- “Nolite Te Bastardes Carborundorum”

Kylie Bunbury’s best tape is either “Pilot” or “The Interim” she had great moments in the Pilot, but Ginny’s interview with Kimmel on misogyny in the latter episode was the standout of the season for me.

Also Taraji P. Henson’s best tape is hands down “Sound & Fury” aka her Lemonade bat-slashing moment and monologue on “I gave you three sons bitch”.. In fact these last few episodes she’s been killing it.

I would chose Wear It because that is when she has her big break down and shows a huge range of emotions.

I have only seen the first two episodes of Empire Season 3

Watch Episode 10 of Empire. You don’t even need to watch the episodes before that to understand cookie’s pain. Henson is that good.

Eight years is a long time. I do not anticipate that Claire Danes gets a seventh consecutive nomination for Homeland next year. Many leads in recent years topped off at six, including Kiefer Sutherland, Hugh Laurie, Michael C. Hall and Martin Sheen.

Next season has the final bouts for Claire Foy, Keri Russell and Tatiana Maslany. Back in contention will be Elisabeth Moss, Robin Wright and Evan Rachel Wood. Maggie Gyllenhaal has her new HBO show this fall; Amy Adams has her new HBO show, which might air in the spring.

As for tapes, I would go with last night’s episode for Carrie Coon and the finales for Foy, Danes and Wood.

Foy’s tape should be “Scientia est Potentia” or the finale. Beautiful performances in both.

FYC: The Crown, Fleabag and AHS: Roanoke for Gold Derby TV Awards

I know in 2017 this is never safe to say but I truly cannot imagine this becoming a drama series – it is decidedly a limited series. It is a very close-ended story and I don’t see Amy Adams committing to more than like eight-ten episodes at this point in her career either.

If it’s good I can’t imagine her losing, though. The material is extremely dramatic and emotional. It’s actually a very quick little read if other posters want to check it out in advance.

I think she is on the bubble this year I could see her missing a nod the Series only got four nods last year and it does not have that much heat. I won’t be shocked if she makes it but I would be shocked if she didn’t. Homeland has peaked in terms of awards.

Homeland shouldn´t get any nod this year, specially one for Danes

I’m sorry guys. Elisabeth Moss is losing. This is sadly going to Claire Foy. It happened in a dream and I just know its going to happen. I’m still predicting Moss though.

Its also funny looking t the early pages when we though Ryder would be safe wherever she submitted.

I suddenly remember the time when I had a dream that Leonardo DiCaprio won an Oscar a month before he actually won in real life.

Nah, only my dreams can predict the emmys. Seriously though, Handmaid’s did better in nominations than the Crown, and over performed in the acting categories while the crown under performed there.
