I think Brenneman has a chance but I also feel like she has a more competition than Coon and Theroux. Ultimately they are all very unlikely and I won’t predict any of them. I have Dowd though only because I really can’t find anyone for that category, Tyler and King should have submitted in guest, they could have made it. That category is such a wasteland.Bill Camp too, where the hell is he on the ballot?

Recurring as God while in contention for The Night Of?  Yeah, should have been a no-brainer.  The Leftovers‘ submissions leave a lot to be desired across the board. Hopefully those multiple writing submissions translate to multiple writing nominations, like how Parks and Recreation got multiple writing nominations that one year, despite never being recognized in the category before or after.

Something I still don’t understand tbh.

There’s Mark Linn-Baker too, I had no idea who he or Perfect Strangers was and his performance made 0 impression on me but it seeme like everyone over a certain age was shitting themselves when he came on.

Parks and Recreation was a really weird show at the Emmys and should never be used as a template for how future shows will be nominated.

Pete Hammond is predicting Metz to win.

Then there is Chrissy Metz, who has been out campaigning and telling her backstory about almost giving up on acting when the role in This Is Us landed in her lap. That could play very well, and likely will result in a victory.

I really don’t have anything to say. I was dreading her nomination, but now she’s apparently going for the win.

I rolled my eyes so hard when I readed this. She gonna win for doing nothing in a just meh show.

My guts are also sadly telling me that Chrissy Metz might win. I would rather see Uzo Aduba win than her.

Thandie Newton has a borderline lead role on the most nominated show this Emmy cycle. Westworld has nominees in all of the drama acting categories and it is very unlikely that any of them will win. Newton is the best chance for a Westworld acting win and she had arguably the best episode submission.

Millie Bobby Brown is playing a fan favorite character from probably the most popular drama series nominee among regular people. Stranger Things is so popular it even got Barb nominated and it over performed in general. She would be the youngest acting winner ever if she won and she’s deserving too.

Ann Dowd is a respected character actress who has been working for years and got not one, but two Emmy nominations on her first year. She probably won’t win in guest for The Leftovers so all of the Leftovers fans who voted for it in series, actor, actress, etc. might want to vote for her for playing an over the top role in arguably the most buzzed about show at the moment.

I’m pretty confident that these three would win before Chrissy Metz.
