Of the five “American Horror Story” seasons, which one is your favorite and which one is the absolute worst? Let’s rank “AHS”! As a refresher:

    Season 1 = Murder House
    Season 2 = Asylum
    Season 3 = Coven
    Season 4 = Freak Show
Season 5 = Hotel (in progress)

Best and most coherent: Murder House

    Good, most emotional: Asylum

Fun and crazy and bad in a mostly entertaining way: Coven

One of the worst things I’ve seen on TV and nominted for Emmys: Freak Show (although Dandy and Twisty were good)

Too soon to tell but veering toward awful: Hotel

    1. Asylum (this my #1 by a landslide)
    2. Murder House
    3. Freak Show
    4. Coven

Right now I would have Hotel ranked last but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and not actually include it in my rankings yet as it hasn’t finished.

Jury is still out on Hotel

    1. Murder House

    2. Asylum

    3. Freak Show

    4. Coven- I honestly have succeeded of pretty much washing out every plot point that happened on the giant waste of time

    1. Murder House
    2. Freak Show
    3. Coven
    4. Asylum
    5. Hotel

Hotel has been pretty awful so far in my humble opinion. And it’s not Lady Gaga’s fault. haha

1 – Asylum, one of my favorite seasons ever.
2 – Murder House, ok start, great development and good finale.
3 – Freak Show, great start, awful development, but beautiful finale
4 – Coven, great start, dissapointing development and awful finale.

Hotel – The first episode didn’t work for me, the second was one of the best episodes of the entire series and the third was great, but already showed some problems.

    1. Asylum (it was so creepy I had to stop watching at one point, but I finished it later)
    2. Murder House (actually watched this after Asylum, Coven, and Freak Show, but Murphy is best with this series when its dark and serious)
    3. Hotel (enjoying the plot more than Freak Show or Coven)
    4. Coven (too comedic and scattered plot)
    5. Freak Show (the setting of the carnival had such potential but failed to deliver)

I like all of the seasons so far.
    1. Coven (I loved the campiness and fantasy elements)
    2. Hotel (from what I’ve seen so far)
    3. Murder House (This is not normally my cup of tea, but it made it my new cup of tea)
    4. Asylum (Sometimes I found that it had to much shit going on at once. But never confusing)
    5. Freak Show (The stuff I liked I love, but the stuff I didn’t like I really didn’t like)

And Freak Show scaried me the most out of all of them.

    1. Asylum – genuinely disturbing psychological horror anchored by incredible performances from Lange and Paulson.

    2. Murder House – most genuinely scary but a lot of fun to watch; Britton and McDermott were a bit weak as leads though.

    3. Coven – started off great, was funny throughout but storylines either went nowhere or ended poorly.

    4. Hotel – hard to tell just from three episodes but way too scattered to truly care about anyone; characters seem good on paper but execution feels off.

    5. Freak Show – pretty much terrible from start to finish with the exception of the Pepper episode — so much squandered potential.

    1.) Asylum – flawless masterpiece

2.) Freak Show — loved it. But they killed off the scary clown too early.

3.) Murder House — very good, but flawed

    4.) Coven — garbage. Where’s the magic?

    1) Asylum
    2) Murder House
    3) Coven
    4) Freak Show

Too soon to tell for Hotel. Asylum is easily the absolute best season of this show with some masterful performances and strong themes throughout (also features the best single season performance of the series to date, Sarah Paulson as Lana Winters). Murder House is very good too, although I’d like to rewatch again and see if my opinion changes (probably the best Evan Peters performance of the series). Coven was very campy fun (highlighted by my personal season highlights, Angela Bassett and Emma Roberts) and never took itself too seriously, which was very different from the other seasons. Freak Show never really took off as a whole, although it included some of my favorite performances of the series on the whole (John Carroll Lynch as Twisty, Finn Wittrock as Dandy, and Sarah Paulson as Bette and Dot).

    1) Muder House
    2) Asylum
    3) Coven (If i was ranking the 1st half of the season it would be number one, but the 2nd half would be dead last, so it ends up here)
    4) Freak Show (Honestly just boring. The first season where I wasn’t compelled to come back each week and watch. It never hit the terrible messiness and preachiness of the latter half of coven, but never got as fun and campy and the performances never got as good as the beginning of the season was either, so it’s consistent mediocrity ranks it just below the frustration that Coven averaged out too for me)
