I love the love for Adina Porter and Outlander but these nominations are a mess.

    Same here

    And here.

Anthony Hopkins in Guest is laughable. Wood in Supporting is very questionable (2nd half of the season, maybe… 1st half and finale – not so much). She’s more leading on “Westworld” than Ryder on “Stranger Things”.

    Jake, Marco and Riley,

Talk to the nameless mod who kept deleting my threads. Obviously it was a personal issue he/she/it has with me. I apologize on whoever’s behalf who took it upon themselves to censor me.

Awards that have shows like Riverdale, Flash or Arrow are trash to me.

The winners announced so far, and my thoughts on them:

Best Action-Thriller Television Series: Riverdale (This was a really weak category to be honest. But my parents watch and liked Animal Kingdom, and while Designated Survivor wasn’t exactly a masterpiece… was it better than f**king Riverdale? OBVIOUSLY! What a waste.) 🙁

Best TV Actor: Andrew Lincoln “The Walking Dead” (Bullshit. The show is past its prime, although it still has its fans, as evidenced by this Award.)

Best TV Actress: Melissa Benoist “Supergirl” (Completely deserved. I can vote for Lena Headey next year, there are few actors who could have played this role as believably as Melissa does.)

Best TV Supporting Actor: Ed Harris “Westworld” (I honestly thought his co-star Jeffrey Wright was better, and that Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington was way more overdue but I’m just happy that Westworld won something, and for a really good performance too! Well done on this one.)

Best TV Supporting Actress: Candice Patton “The Flash” (Better than Evan Rachel Wood AND Thandie Newton?! Is this still Planet Earth?! She is good in The Flash, but those other 2 performances were on a whole other level of raw brilliance! I think they split the “Westworld” voters, and I am happier than I have ever been that Wood and Newton are in separate categories at the Emmys.)

Best Fantasy Series “Outlander” (I think Game of Thrones got robbed here. I didn’t know that many people still watched or talked about Outlander! Even on Goldderby the buzz seemed to have quieted down. I do not approve of this win, even though I know the show has its fans, like The Walking Dead.)

Best Performance by a Younger Actor: Millie Bobby Brown “Stranger Things” (She was clearly the best in the category, I voted for her, I fully approve.)

Best New Media Television Series: “Marvel’s Luke Cage” (Even though I voted for Stranger Things, I can’t complain about this one. Okay winner.)

Best Television Presentation (Whatever the f**k this is): “11/22/63” (Didn’t see it, but heard good things.)

Best Horror Televison Series: “The Walking Dead” (REALLY?! Even the critics seemed to turn against the show this season. But, I guess I can’t complain, since I didn’t see any of the shows in this category, and only voted for Ash vs. Evil Dead because my friend told me it was good.)

Best Science Fiction Television Series: “Westworld” (YES. That is all.)

Best Superhero Television Series: “Supergirl” (I voted for it, I think it was the best in the category, and I am glad my fellow voters got this one right.)

Best Animated Television Series: “Star Wars Rebels” (I’m happy for the cast and crew, although I am not happy for the win itself, when the in my opinion vastly superior Bojack Horseman and Trollhunters lost.)

Best TV Presentation is a show that had 10 episodes or less to tell it’s story. Surprised Supergirl did so well, it was wildly uneven this season due to the move to Vancouver and losing Calista for all but the last 2 episodes.

I thought The Expanse was the cream of the sci-fi crop but it just didn’t have the buzz Westworld did (which was my runner-up pick).
