I just felt the cold sting of this site’s spam filter.  That hurt.  I bumped the old Review thread from a couple of years ago and the entire thing got deleted!  Would love to see that discussion again.  Anyway, who is watching the third and final season that premiered last Thursday? 88 on Metacritic! But sadly only six reviews. The premiere was solid, but felt a little cheap at first. They undid the previous finale too easily, but it came back around as the episode went on and I expect further ramifications in the remainder of the season.

I’ve never seen this show, but with the good reviews I’ll probably check it out at some point this year.

I cannot believe that this final season was only three episodes. I only found out after the second episode. They just really did not have the budget—they rented an Airbnb for their writers’ office this year. This was not the funniest season, but the ending felt appropriate. Andy Daly still gave a very committed performance and his team can rest with a very solid run of twenty-two episodes that has already earned its place in any best-of-the-decade list for television comedies.

My original thread came back, but it gets caught in the spam filter with new posts, so it has disappeared again.

With only three episodes can and will it submit in limited? I’m not too sure about the rules for that. I know it has no chance whatsoever, but I’m just curious.

The rules used to be such that that would be the only place for it (see Treme), but that is no longer the case. It would have to have only two episodes to go limited now if it has already been established as a comedy.

I was also caught off guard with the final third episode, it was Sad, I thought it was just a really really good prank, but I searched it after the episode ended and, it was me who got pranked unfortunately. Will miss this show. The actor that played the producer is so creepy and outstanding.

Fuck. I finally finished watching this. Do not binge this because you will be a wreck. The ending was so fucking depressing. I thought season 2 was worthy of nominations all around but while season 3 was good, it wasn’t as great as season 2 and in my opinion based on those 3 episodes didn’t deserve any nominations, besides the lead of  course, not that it was ever going to get any. The best episode of the shows run by far was “Cult, Perfect Body”. Damn, that ending was just so depressing. This is one of the saddest shows I’ve ever watched.
