This is the new Showtime series created by Cameron Crowe, who is writing and directing a bunch of it, though the showrunner is actually Winnie Holzman (!), who created My So-Called Life back in the day. Luke Wilson and Carla Gugino star.
It premieres on Showtime on June 26, though the first episode can be previewed online now.

I like Crowe. This should be fun.
What do you guys think?
I watched the early premiere on Showtime’s app (officially debuts this Sunday 6/26). Pretty solid. The show has a very “lived-in” feeling (AKA very Cameron Crowe-esque), which both helps and hurts it. Sometimes you really don’t know what’s going on, and there’s a weird pacing. But at the same time, I like that I feel like I already know these characters. It’s a very warm and inviting show, but at the same time, doesn’t really feel very high stakes at all, which maybe is what it’s going for…
Imogen Poots is the early highlight – fantastically acted throughout. The dialogue is a little silly, but the music and soundtrack is very well done and interspersed throughout the show. It’s a fun show to watch. Will definitely tune into the 2nd episode.
Meh. I though Wilson and Gugino were fine and all, but Im not tuning back in
Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.
The first episode was pretty good. It’s a fun time with a mostly good cast of characters. It’s definitely got that Cameron Crowe touch. Light on plot. I’ll be watching for now, though I’m not totally convinced there’s an actual _show_ here yet.
Imogen Poots’ and Ron White’s characters made the strongest impression, though White’s was seemingly written out of the show.
Showtime did not include any episodes of Roadies in their boxed set of DVDs to voters, as they are apparently not campaigning it.
