I really hope that they are not going to snub Sarah Paulson/Kathy Bates or Finn Wittrock in the Miniseries categories.

Also Allison Janney will be nominated.

I wonder if they will ever introduce a miniseries/movie ensemble category. There are multiple miniseries/limited series with strong ensembles and would make for an interesting category.

I’m not sold on Westworld. The premise kinda sounds outrageous. Outlander or Sense8 which is sci-fi to a lessor extent could get nominated before Westworld.

I don’t think Westworld will be out before the SAGs this year. They might put that into the Looking time slot in the Winter with Girls and Togetherness

Actually they’re in drama. With SAG, once you’ve been nominated in a certain category, you can’t switch categories. It’s a recent rule change. So I doubt they have a shot.

I’m calling it now that Grace and Frankie gets individual Acting noms for all four, plus is likely nomated and perhaps even wins Ensemble in a Comedy Series. With this particular awards show, it just seems inevitable.

Am I the only one wishing that “Sense8” was considered and nominated for best ensemble?… Yes?… No one else?… Ok… =(

^Sense8 has the best Ensemble right now and deserves to win, but we can’t always get what we want. I’m hopeful that they’ll get in somewhere in these categories, but 🙁

Aren’t SAG voters usually anti new shows, regardless of buzz?
I disagree that there are a large enough number of mini/film ensembles to give an award for it.

So much can and probably will change, but, right now, here are my predictions, with the assumption that American Crime and Fargo will be considered miniseries, True Detective and American Horror Story will be considered drama series, Orange is the New Black and Shameless will be considered comedy series, and Transparent may not premiere by the end of 2015 (at the very least, there’s no buzz on the new season, so I don’t know yet whether it will be a letdown like the second season of True Detective was for many):
