    Television Totals
    7 – The Walking Dead
    6 – Hannibal
    4 – Continuum
3 – Agent Carter, American Horror Story: Freak Show, Falling Skies, The Flash, Game of Thrones, The Librarians, Outlander
    2 – The Strain, Gotham
    1 – The Last Ship

This more than makes up for the joke and a half that was the Canadian Screen Awards and its fellating over Orphan Black.

How could they snub Robin Lord Taylor?

The new Superhero Adaptation Television Series category is silly and pointless. Did any possible show miss there?

The Following was already nominated twice and its third season premiered last night. How was it eligible? Fishy.

    Complaints:

    – Where the hell are Finn Wittrock and Sarah Paulson!!!

    – How is Bates motel a limited series? And Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga go hand in hand. Your DO NOT nominate one without the other…

    – Robin Lord Taylor…anyone?

    – Am I the only one who is still pissed Gillian Anderson missed on emmy/saturn nominations for both seasons?

On the other hand, love the increased support for Walking Dead and Hannibal.

Yep, that has got to be the biggest omission. They recognize Game of Thrones and its cast, but not its best actor? They’re probably the biggest awards group that has recognized the show while snubbing him. And also this year, they recognized Emilia Clarke for her worst season while ignoring Lena Headey for one of her best (and she’s been nominated before, so its not like they don’t ignore her completely). Also disappointed to not see Charles Dance or Pedro Pascal. For other shows, I was glad to see Agent Carter get some recognition, particularly for Hayley Atwell and Dominic Cooper. So-so set of noms overall.

The fact Continuum is third overall with 4 nominations and whose only real competition in Cable Series is The Walking Dead pretty much shoots a bucketfull of holes in the ‘so-so set of noms overall’ statement.

Replace Erik Knudsen with Peter Dinklage or Robin Lord Taylor and Lexa Doig with Lena Headey. The nominations look instantly better with those changes.

You obviously didn’t see season 3, where Knudsen played 2 Alec Sadlers, both to awesomesauce levels, and Doig was terrific as the leader of what was left of Liber8 before she went out with a bang.  Continuum earned one more nomination than last year, validating the fact season 3 was the best yet.  Unfortunately, it will end its run either next winter or in 2016.  It’s on Netflix right now. You’ll see should you choose to binge-watch.

Yes, why isnt he nominated? And what about Eva Green and Penny Dreadful??? Isnt the Saturn Awards about honoring Series from the Horror Genre (but then why is the Blacklist and the Following nominated)? Both of them belong to neither horror, fantasy, sci-fi or mystery genre.

I wonder what is going on with Orphan Black here.  How did it get nominated by SAG before Saturn?

The Following represents the horror genre. It’s about tracking down and stopping cults of serial killers.

So glad to see Person of Interest finally getting some recognition. The Good Wife and Person of Interest are the best shows on Network television, and put to shame most of the cable shows. In the bigining POI was a standar procedural show with a good sci fi element and very good action sequences, but when the science fiction became science fact, Jonathan Nolan (creator) took the show to a new direction, it has become more serialized since season 3, the POI universe has expanded, with new characters, villains, plots and great technological mythologic. It has become a modern sci fi epic series that is considered a must see. The episode “If Then Else” (episode 4×11) is the best thing I have seen this tv season. A master piece.
The show still has some stand alone episodes, but even those episodes are very well written and shot.
Is a shame Amy Acker didnt get a nomination for best supporting actress, she is one of the most underrated actresses on tv, every time she is on screen she steals the show.
You dont have to be a sci fi lover to enjoy this show.
