SeriesFest Season One Trailer — 26 Pilots In 30 Seconds

    by Ross A. Lincoln   June 5, 2015 2:56pm

Have a new tv series you’re trying to get picked up? SeriesFest might be a good place to start. The new festival, planned to happen annually in Denver, Colorado, will see 26 independently-produced television pilots competing for Best Pilot. Featuring the likes of Malcolm McDowell, John Glover, Missy Pyle, Rachel Dratch and Mary Lynn Rajsku, the winning pilot will be available in the state of Colorado via Comcast on Demand after the festival ends. In addition, several network and cable pilots will be screened for audiences, including ABC’s Quantico, AMC’s Humans, FX’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, the Starz series Survivor’s Remorse, and USA Network’s Mr. Robot. Q&A sessions will accompany these screenings.

For a taste, here’s the trailer for the event, showcasing a quick look at the competition pilots vying for attention. The inaugural SeriesFest happens June 18-21 in Denver, primarily at the Sie FilmCenter.

That is a really exciting idea for a festival. It will be interesting to see if it leads to many series pickups.
