Watch the rejected pilot — http://www.cbs.com/shows/super-clyde
An exclusive look at Super Clyde, a zero-to-hero story by the Emmy® Award winning creator of The Millers, Greg Garcia. Super Clyde is a comedy starring Rupert Grint about a shy comic book fanatic who discovers his calling after he inherits millions of dollars from his eccentric uncle. Clyde, a mild mannered fast food worker, is bequeathed $100,000 per month for the rest of his life and with the help of his butler, Randolph (Stephen Fry), Clyde begins his thrilling new life as a Super Hero, secretly helping strangers in need.
I would what that, only for Stephen Genius Fry.
Some aspects were amateurish, but this show had a great look, plenty of heart and was overall better than most of the pilots that I have seen this fall. And they passed on this for the already-cancelled We are Men.
(Hey, remember when Virtuality starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was rejected, but they beefed up its ninety-minute pilot to fit a two-hour timeslot and they got an Emmy nomination out of it? That thing was great!)
