Betty White’s 90th Birthday Special was such a success last year that NBC decided to give Betty white another TV Special for all the stars that couldn’t make it that evening. More information will come soon.

Below is the Huffington Post Article about the event

The last one was so funny and filled with many stars that eveyone loves. A lot of her friends couldn’t make it that evening so it’s nice that they get a chance to go up there and say Happy Birthday to her! 🙂

By the way her Birthday is January 17 so it will probably air a day before or a day after.

Anyone know anything about the B&W pic of Betty and the emmy award?  I want to say I remember reading years ago that she won a Los Angeles Area Emmy award in the 50’s, but I haven’t found any other reference to it.  I also remember hearing about Bette Davis winning an LA area Emmy for playing Mary Todd Lincoln in the early 60’s.  Just curious if anyone knows about these tidbits?  Gonna see if I can contact someone at the academy if there is documented history of the LA awards.

Yes she did win an Emmy ( Her first ) in 1952. It was for her sitcom that she produced and starred in, that was called “Life with Elizabeth” She was also nominated for this show in 1951. She wrote in many books and talked about it, in many interviews.

Here is an interview of Betty explaining her first Emmy win. CLICK HERE

Here are some episodes of Life with Elizabeth CLICK HERE and you can find more on youtube as well.     🙂

The Academy needs to update their emmy info on their website. According to them Betty White was only nominated once for her 50’s show and never won. But obviously she did since she wrote about it in 2 or more books and talked about it in many interview and there is also a picture of her holding the emmy.

Also in this Barbra Walters interview you can see that there are 5 Emmy’s on her table. this was in 1986. ( 1952,1975,1976,1983,1986 )

You can see the 5 Emmy’s on her table at 4:04 in the video HERE IS THE VIDEO

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bette Davis did win an Emmy in the 60’s for that role. The Academy needs to set aside a day when they clean up all of their records of Emmy wins.
