    Hi All

This year, Emmy voters confirmed that they are madly in love with all things British – showering 17 nominations on “Downton Abbey” and also lavishing lots of love for “Sherlock”, “Luther” and “The Hour”. Heck, even in the Drama Supporting Actor category, they tossed out John Slattery and replaced him with his co-star, the very British Jared Harris.

What other examples can you think of where the “mother country” has invaded this year’s Emmys?

Archie Panjabi is a British actress. Some British actors who are snubbed and replaced with British actors in Downton Abbey are Hugh Laurie, Alan Cumming and Kelly Macdonald.

In the Comedy Acting, i think there is no British at all. At least in Leading and Supporting. It seems British are not funny 😀

And why shouldn’t they be in love with our fine writers, actors & actresses? 😉 (I jest of course)
The US clean up ok in the comedy catergory.
As someone mentioned above obviosly Damian Lewis, I personally think though ts the writing of Homeland & his part in it that has him nominated, he does after all play the part with an American accent.
Emmma Thompson & Clive Owen are nominated too.
