Tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to reveal the Primetime Pre-Nominees for the Bryan Awards.

    – Comedies are 30 minutes (except for Glee, Jane the Virgin, and Shameless); Dramas are 60 minutes
    – Primetime regulars in less than half the season can be entered wherever.
    – Recurring Daytime actors in less than 30-40% of the year’s episodes are guests, as are contract regulars who left before July 31, 2014 or debuted after May 1, 2015 (if deemed appropriate).
    – Younger Actors (Daytime/Primetime) are anyone 25 and under.  Actors that turn 26 during the eligibility period will be placed where appropriate.  Limited Series actors 25 and under have the option of being placed in Younger Acting/Primetime Drama.
    – Variety is in two categories – Late Night Talk and Variety Sketch.
    – Miniseries/Movie is back to two categories – Limited Series and Made for TV Movie
    – Comedy & Drama Series will have seven nominees; Most Missed Series & New Series will have between six and ten; Variety Sketch will only have four; Late Night Talk will have six; TV Movie and Limited Series will only have four nominees

SPOILER: Like with Daniel Montgomery’s Goldies, ALL FOUR soaps are de-facto nominees for Series, Writing, Ensemble, Casting, and Directing.

Daytime Lead, Supporting, and Younger Acting pre-noms were announced two weeks ago.  There are only seven Younger Actor and ten Younger Actress pre-noms for Daytime, due to the age restrictions, and the fact there are only four soaps left on the air.

12 Pre-Nominees: Daytime Lead, Supporting, Guest; New Series Guest; Longform Lead and Supporting
16 Pre-Nominees: Comedy/Drama/New Series Leads, Comedy/Drama Younger Acting; New Series Supporting; Late Night Talk Host; Reality Host; Late Night Talk Show; Reality-Competition
    20 Pre-Nominees: New Series, Comedy/Drama Supporting; Comedy/Drama/New/Most Missed Series

The nominations will be announced on my radio program in three weeks.

One segment, will be the Leads and Series.
The other segment, will be Supporting, and a couple of other categories.

I’m making the finishing touches on the nomination list, and then after the holiday weekend, the tally.

    The Very Worst of Television

I have not yet done a count yet, because I am super busy.  I am very super busy, so super busy that I didn’t have time to do “Blind Items” for this year’s Bryan Award nominees, like I have in the past.
