Just watched the second season premiere. I haven’t seen any of the episodes from season 1, but I really did enjoy this. I thought Wendi McLendon-Covey was hilarious, and I was suprised how good the main character (the youngest) was. The show was a bit cheesy at times and kinda reminded me of Modern Family where they all love each other at the end hahah

I love this show and I thought it had a great opening for the season.September 26, 2014 at 5:39 am #335003
This was one of the best shows last season and it’s a shame it didn’t catch on. Hopefully being with Modern Family and The Middle will help it a lot.
The premiere was solid. McLendon killed several of her scenes and the kid playing Adam truly is a great actor and perfect for this character.
I hope they can keep it up as the season goes along.September 28, 2014 at 9:20 pm #335004
I just started watching the show recently and I’m halfway though the 1st season and I find it unbelievable that Wendi McLendon-Covey hasn’t recieved an Emmy nominationsSeptember 29, 2014 at 6:28 am #335005
I think she will have a better chance in 2 years when Edie and Amy are done with their shows.September 29, 2014 at 9:15 am #335006
Wendi McLendon-Covey should definitely have gotten an Emmy nom for last season. She’s so fantastic on this show.
I was actually considering not watching the season, to spite ABC for cancelling Trophy Wife, but I realized I’d only be hurting myself. Solid premiere episode.September 29, 2014 at 8:10 pm #335007
SNL alum Ana Gasteyer will play Adam’s drama teacher Ms. Cinoman in the next episode. A teacher “who unwittingly triggers theatrics from the precious Adam (Sean Giambrone) and his indomitable stage mom, Beverly.”
TV Guide did an article on it. Looks intrestingNovember 20, 2014 at 1:03 pm #335008
The is my fave comedy of the season so far, and I’m so happy that the viewship grew this season.March 7, 2015 at 10:14 pm #335010
It is a shame this thread is so dead because “The Goldbergs” is one of the best comedy series on TV. Not only does Wendi McLendon-Covey deserve an Emmy nomination (and she has 2 winning episodes) but so do the three kids who are the best trio of “kid” actors on TV right now – surpassing the “Modern Family” kids as Sarah Hyland has been the only stand-out for the past few seasons. ABC does a killer job with finding young talent.March 8, 2015 at 6:27 pm #335011
The Goldbergs is amazing. Wendi McLendon-Covey is really amazing and should be in the emmy conversation. The second season has been even better than the second season and it does a great job of balancing heartfelt and hilarious moments.April 3, 2015 at 2:29 pm #335012
A couple articles about “The Lost Boy” episode:April 13, 2015 at 9:28 am #335013
Next Monday (4/20) I will be doing a hangout with one of the stars of Network TV’s BEST COMEDY series: Wendi McLendon-Covey of “The Goldbergs” @ 11a (pst).
Any questions you have for her, the show, or her past work put ’em here! Also, a question for fellow Derbyites: Which of the season so far (and maybe after this Wednesday’s episode since it looks like a good one for her) should Wendi consider as her Emmy episode of the gods are just and she lands a nom?April 19, 2015 at 10:09 am #335014
Alright Derbyites/”The Goldberg”/Wendy McLendon-Covey fans – TOMORRROW at 11A (pst) I will be chatting it up with the should-be-in-a-perfect-world future Emmy nominee. My questions for you are:
1) WHICH Episode should be WMC’s Emmy episode? I can think of two but want to hear y’all’s thoughts.
2) Do YOU have any questions you want me to ask her?
