Jennifer Aniston – Friends (for turning what could have been a boring old leading lady role into a funny, quirky, character role)
Kelsey Grammer – Frasier (possibly the ultimate leading comedy man of the ’90s/’00s… the only person that comes close is Alec Baldwin in 30 Rock)
Tina Fey – 30 Rock (for redefining the leading lady role, and for creating the new female archetype for comedies that influenced Parks, The Mindy Project, New Girl, etc.)
Bryan Cranston – Breaking Bad (no explanation needed)
James Gandolfini and Edie Falco – The Sopranos (simply a tour de force on screen couple who have yet to be matched as a pair)

The greatest performance in TV history is a tie between Bryan Cranston (Lead Actor, “Breaking Bad”) and Bai Ling (Guest Actress, “Lost”).

One of those is a joke.

For each category…off the top of my head…

    Tina Fey – 30 Rock
Bill Cosby – The Cosby Show
    Bryan Cranston – Breaking Bad
Frances Conroy – Six Feet Under
Megan Mullally – Will and Grace
    Aaron Paul – Breaking Bad
Allison Janney – The West Wing (she was supporting and lead)
    David Cross – Arrested Development

And, yeah, the entire cast of MTM and Road to Avonlea.

Ashley Jensen in “Extras”  is truly one of the great comedic performances of all-time, IMHO
