Can somebody please argue for the possibility of the Leftovers getting Emmy nominations? Has a returning show ignored by the Emmys with critical acclaim in its final season ever snuck it to the best series race even in a competive year???? Please say yes!January 25, 2017 at 8:11 am #1201994888

If only! I still maintain that it has an outside chance at a writing nom but it’s slim.January 25, 2017 at 12:02 pm #1201995098
So the finale will be June 4. Get those Emmys!February 17, 2017 at 11:45 am #1202014284
Curious about Jill’s role in the final season; she was not in the teaser or the trailer. Margaret Qualley spent summer 2016 in Vancouver filming the American film adaptation of Death Note for Netflix and tweeted about her first day in Australia on the set of the final season of The Leftovers in September. Then she was off to France in October to film another Netflix movie and that probably took her through the end of the year. They filmed from May to January, spending a month on each episode this season for some reason, so Jill is probably in a couple of episodes in the middle and maybe has a cameo in the finale? Damon Lindelof said that he regretted not doing a Jill-centric episode last season, so I would think that Jill’s absence would be more of a career move by Qualley than a creative decision.February 17, 2017 at 12:09 pm #1202014299
This is probably the best drama series I’ve seen in years and it fucking kills me that Theroux, Coon, Brenneman and Dowd weren’t recognised by Emmys. Direction, writing, cinematography, score, everything is so fucking perfect. If it doesn’t get recognised in a big way by Emmys for its final season I’ll kill some of those lazy bustards called Emmy voters.February 17, 2017 at 12:38 pm #1202014322
Hopefully people will discover it launching it into the pop culture atmosphere causing the Emmys to not be able to ignore it.February 17, 2017 at 3:08 pm #1202014396
The funny thing is that it is heavily buzzed about and I’ve seen/heard lots of references to it especially building up to this season, but the viewing figures don’t match up.February 23, 2017 at 6:50 pm #1202020106
Just finished my pre-season 3 rewatch (only rewatched season 2) and wow, ‘Ten Thirteen’ is an INCREDIBLE episode. The best performance of Liv Tyler’s career. The first couple episodes of season 3 wrapping up the Miracle storyline should be amazing- I had forgot that the Guilty Remnant had basically destroyed Jarden by the end of the final episode.
