It is in the predictions centre! Get those 100/1 odds! I want to add “before they are gone”, but Mozart in the Jungle has 100/1 odds, despite improbably being a double-nominee last year and also a double-winner the year before. Even GLOW only has 22/1 odds, despite being the best-reviewed new comedy that people watched in a year with few good new comedies that people saw.December 3, 2017 at 7:46 pm #1202428594
Don’t you guys think it released too late for GG voters? Yes, we’ve seen some late shows get in; “Transparent”, that one time and “The Crown” hasn’t even premiered yet but it should be safe, but those are established shows where advance screeners will mean something. I’d be really surprised if this gets anything. Almost similar to ASP’s other show last year…IJS.

The pilot was made available months in advance, and it’s had positive buzz ever since. But you just never know with the Globes.December 8, 2017 at 2:21 pm #1202433484
I think Brosnahan should easily be winning the Globe Lead Actress and be a contender at the Emmys as well. The last episode should be Tony Shalhoub’s Emmy winning submission, he was flawless. Overall it was a really great show, I can’t wait for more!December 8, 2017 at 3:40 pm #1202433509
I agree that Rachel Brosnahan should be a huge contender for the Globes and the Emmys. She is Midge. Really amazing performance.December 10, 2017 at 6:54 am #1202434968
This was a incredible first season, Brosnahan should be winning everything, Shalhoub is such a fantastic actor.December 10, 2017 at 7:32 am #1202435010
Brosnahan blew me away as I binge watch the first season. Same thing with Borstein who was not recognized for her wonderful work on Getting On.December 10, 2017 at 5:18 pm #1202435592
This is one of my favorite shows and performances (Rachel Brosnahan) of the year! I have always loved Julia Louis-Dreyfuss in Veep, and she has totally deserved each of her six Emmys, but if Veep happens to return before the deadline, this could be the most vulnerable Louis-Dreyfuss has ever been to losing Lead Actress!December 11, 2017 at 12:57 pm #1202436998

This is gonna slay at Emmy’s if it get’s enough eyeballs on it to get nominated.December 12, 2017 at 10:57 am #1202437902
Is it bad that I like this one season more than all of Gilmore Girls?? I love GG, but everything I found irritating in that show is nonexistent. Give Borstein the emmy now.December 12, 2017 at 11:08 am #1202437914
I could see this being a huge emmy contender. I mean, even in the last episode, those guys dancing at the wedding? That is a sure fire choreography nomination. It is checking boxes left and right.
Brosnahan will win and Borstein/Shaloub will certainly get their recognition.

I’ve only seen the pilot and I would already give an Emmy to Brosnahan. She was absolutely marvelous. In old days based on tapes system she’d be winning in a cakewalk. That pilot is like the best possible submssion. She has everything in it. And she fucking kills it. She’s winning that GG. No question about that.January 5, 2018 at 6:19 pm #1202457369
This surprised with a PGA nomination and it could very well win. I rewatched the first two episodes tonight and it’s still great. I expect tons of nominations. This could hit the double digits.

Flavor of the moment, a confection so light it’ll drift off into the sky.
