I’m just catching up with this show and reading about its Emmy wins. Why were Ken Olin and Mel Harris never nominated? Some of the nominees who beat them out seem like odd choices. Anyone remember the buzz back then?
Not sure why he was not nominated, but Ken Olin was smokin’ hot. I was too young to watch during it’s initial run, but did get the first season DVD set a few months back for super cheap.
While thirtysomething was good I would have not have voted for it over second season of LA Law. I have no problem with any of Wettig’s wins. Like Harry Hamlin of LA a show as beloved like thirtysomething by emmy voters couldn’t get all of its actors nominated. I know lots of people felt hope and Michael were super annoying and whiny and wanted them to go away but emmy voters loved the show and were not a part of that beleif but maybe it made people hesitant to vote for them.
Where are you watching?
