HBO’s underrated gem Togetherness 2nd season premieres Feb. 21 at 10:30 pm! They are re airing Season 1 in place of Doll and Em after Project Greenlight right now and I highly recommend people to catch up with it!October 29, 2015 at 7:30 pm #364321
I second that recommendation. It’s sad it and “Looking” couldn’t both survive, but I’m glad at least one did. “Togetherness” is a gem and all four main performances are wonderful, especially Melanie Lynskey. Everybody watch it!October 29, 2015 at 8:42 pm #364322
Love this show!March 7, 2016 at 5:29 am #364323
Okay, so the last two episodes of ‘Togetherness’ have been phenomenal!
The fights in episode two were so raw and real, and they did an amazing job capturing childhood nostalgia in episode three. This show and its individual actors have vaulted to the top of my “best of the year” list.March 25, 2016 at 11:47 am #601579
Togetherness has been cancelled by HBO. Its Season 2 finale on April 10 will be its series finale.March 25, 2016 at 3:56 pm #601617

So sad.March 26, 2016 at 6:53 am #601683
A little dissapointed about the end of the show, but not realliy surprised. While this wa a great show, it just never got any buzz. It never showed up at the emmy’s, got one critics nom and that was it. But it also was rarely talked about in the media. It was probably overshadowed by Girls which has had two good seasons going up against it. Even if you don’t think Girls is good, it did better in the ratings and has been going on long enough to earn a final season. I’m sure they talked with the Duplass Brothers about a possible movie like they’re doing with Looking but I bet they didn’t want that and thought that the season 2 ending would be enough.
Sad, but not really surprising becuase it was just a show about four ordinary straight white people that no one was watching.March 26, 2016 at 8:43 am #601704
Exactly, we need those normal shows on our screens more. And even if HBO can’t afford to show that, I don’t know what will.
I thought it was way more realistic portrait of a human nature than Girls or Looking for sure. Duplass brothers had gret plans for s3.
At least I won’t have to see Amanda Peet on talkshows whenever I turn my TV on now.March 31, 2016 at 7:30 am #661245
I’ve been away for a little bit but I am so upset about this. This show is a masterclass in acting from Duplass, Lynskey, and Peet. And they canceled it on the same day they canceled Looking a year before? Gross. Why do we get Ballers season 2 and Silicon Valley season 3 but not Looking and Togetherness Season 3. It’s fucking unfair and a disgraceMarch 31, 2016 at 11:17 am #661285
Although I haven’t watched the 2nd season, it’s still a bummer seeing as I quite enjoyed the first season. HBO doesn’t know how to keep its small-scale dramedies (minus Girls).
Still waiting for that Looking movie! Your move, HBO!
