This looks really good and could very well play out how Wolf Hall did.sturncParticipantJoinedJan 11th, 2015Total Topics2Posts125February 25, 2016 at 12:23 pm #367923
At the very least Tom Hardy’s star power should get him a nomination, but that could end up being a real player depending on how stacked the categories are next year because if they are as stacked as this year it might be tough.AnonymousJoinedJan 1st, 1970Total Topics2Posts1109February 25, 2016 at 12:47 pm #367924
Tom Hardy will easily get his nomination, so will Ridley Scott. But the question is can either of the supporting actors, Michael Kelly and Jonathan Pryce, get a nomination? Can’t wait for the show tbh.Moviebuff22ParticipantJoinedJan 17th, 2016Total Topics8Posts511February 25, 2016 at 1:03 pm #367925

They keep billing this as an “eight-episode drama series”, so it is a drama with Tom Hardy? I cannot tell.Rooney MooreParticipantJoinedAug 2nd, 2014Total Topics11Posts1404February 25, 2016 at 1:24 pm #367927
Odd that they have cast Michael Kelly amongst all those Brits. But he will be my ticket to watch this show.
Still don’t get what people find on Tom Hardy. By both physically and his acting.SashaParticipantJoinedNov 24th, 2013Total Topics10Posts1896February 25, 2016 at 1:49 pm #367928

I really like this trend of movie stars doing TV, even if it is “limited”.SashaParticipantJoinedNov 24th, 2013Total Topics10Posts1896February 25, 2016 at 2:35 pm #367930
Yeah it’s great but there are certain movie stars that will never do TV shows even the ‘limited’ ones such as Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz or Sandra Bullock.helv606ParticipantJoinedJul 11th, 2013Total Topics0Posts108February 25, 2016 at 5:47 pm #367932

I could easily see Diaz or Bullock doing an 8-10 episode limited series. Kidman/Witherspoon could not get Big Little Lies done as a movie, now it is going to be a HBO limited series (I have heard 7 episodes). Amy Adams is part of the package shopping around Sharp Objects as a limited series after not being able to do the book as a film. I think if Diaz or Bullock were really passionate about doing a certain project, they would turn to cable or streaming if needed.HunterbergfeldParticipantJoinedJul 7th, 2016Total Topics30Posts783January 10, 2017 at 8:21 pm #1201985251
I Loved it. Tom Hardy was great. He will be a front runner for the Emmy. I also thought Jonothan Pryce was great and will definitely be in the race. The limited series category is super crowded so I am not sure there will be room in the series category, but I hope there is. It was a little bit slow, but I could tell it was all set up. I cannot wait for more

Sorry, but Limited Series has become one of the most loaded categories at the Emmys. It will be again this year and I don’t see this making the cut.Moviebuff22ParticipantJoinedJan 17th, 2016Total Topics8Posts511
