Here they are! The official choices for the 2016 Tyler’s Choice Television Awards!

I always look forward to doing these every year and this one was no different. So many cool shows and performances this year it was somewhat hard to chose (okay this was a weaker year than average but still)

    Rules
    1) A longlist is a list of between 10 and 20 contenders in most categories that I am considering. Through careful voting, I will eventually drop it to about 6 nominees apiece, 5 for the Creative Arts awards.
    2) Just to clarify, “Orange is the New Black” will stay a comedy, “Horace and Pete” is a drama, “Wet Hot American Summer”, “The X-Files” and “Scream Queens” will compete in Miniseries, and “Galavant” moves up to being a comedy.
    3) Animated shows are allowed to compete in both series and Animated Program however now, I must choose whether to compete the actors in acting or voice-acting but not both. This will prevent an over-run of American Dad! choices and foster more diversity among the nominees. Guest Actors however can compete in both.

For a complete list of choices, go here to my blog: tylertheawesomeguy.blogspot.ca/2016/06/tylers-choice-television-awards-2016.html

Feel free to post your reactions here. Thanks!

    No Continuum? Why?

Kristen Bell was the lead actress in House of Lies. Why repeat Showtime’s category fraud?

Of course not. I’m only just one man.

I have seen some of the shows and the rest I judge based on the odds on GoldDerby as well as the ratings/reviews of the episodes/series online. Or I would look up a clip of the actors online to judge for myself how good they are. Or I just like/dislike the nominees. That’s usually how I make it.

I have not seen Continuum or House of Lies so I have no idea that Kristen is the lead on the show. I just follow what I saw for the several years I saw on the ballot.
