The 2016 Emmys predictions center is now active for 16 categories…
Drama Series, Leads, Supportings
Comedy Series, Leads, Supportings
Movies, Limited Series, Leads, Supportings
We will continue to add contenders as we find out more from the studios and networks. Keep in mind this is just the first wave of info. It is very possible that some of these placements could change over the next few weeks.February 24, 2016 at 1:16 pm #367861

Considering the tone of the season, the nominations that the show received throught this awards season and how unsuccessful it went while competing as a drama series last year’s Emmys, i really doubt that Netflix won’t push as hard as possible to nominate Orange is the New Black back into comedy series category.February 24, 2016 at 2:21 pm #367865
So it is confirmed that the X Files will be in Limited Series?
Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.February 24, 2016 at 2:35 pm #367866

The biggest question mark going forward is the category placements for the acting performances in Limited Series, “Roots.” So many actors could go in many different categories and even looking at the original, it is hard to tell who will go where.
Also, could Frances Conroy be added to the Supporting Actress in a Comedy category for “Casual?” She was HILARIOUS and would definitely make my top 6 if I had a say!February 24, 2016 at 2:54 pm #367868
Yes! Thanks for getting this up so early!February 24, 2016 at 4:31 pm #367869
Hmm….Wet Hot American Summer and Horace and Pete are competing in Comedy Series?February 24, 2016 at 9:23 pm #367870
Thanks!February 24, 2016 at 9:39 pm #367871
It is almost impossible to only pick six nominees in some of these categories. Particularly Drama Supporting Actress. What am I supposed to do there???February 25, 2016 at 6:43 am #367872
I was just thinking about this the other day! A few questions:
7 Days in Hell from HBO as a TV Movie- are they campaigning? I know it came out the first week of the TV season but I could see it scoring a Best movie nom
The Spoils Before Dying- Kristen Wiig suprised us all with the last installment, can she be added
American Crime- Are they really campaigning Connor Jessup and Lili Taylor as supporting? They should go lead and Huffman and Hutton should go supportingFebruary 25, 2016 at 6:44 am #367873
Marcus, IMO that is one of the easiest categories. Look at the previous years. All 5 from last year will stay, and you can go any direction with that last spot.
Comedy Lead Actor is the one that gives me headaches, because none of the options sans Tambor are strong contenders that part of popular shows, never been. They are all interchangable. Will his hosting finally help Samberg to score a nom?February 25, 2016 at 7:09 am #367874
Oh man this year is going to be tough! I think many worthy candidates will get snubbed because of the competition. The Limited Series categories are so stacked this year. It is also crazy how television has embraced diversity where the movie studios are still so far behind. I am afraid though American Crime’s stellar cast may not be able to break through over some of the larger names this year.
