Season 40 had mixed reviews due to accusations of copyright infringement and weak performances/skits with only the SNL 40 special saving the season. What do you want to happen in Season 41 that will change the way you view SNL and how it can be great moving forward, because I want the upcoming season to be reminsicent of Fall 1986-Spring 1995 (otherwise known as the Kevin Nealon years known for the transition of the players led by Dana Carvey/Phil Hartman to the Bad Boys of SNL led by Chris Farley/Adam Sandler).August 5, 2015 at 9:57 am #357026
I wanna see FUNNY SKITS!!!!August 5, 2015 at 9:59 am #357027

I want Chris Kelly to be promoted to head writerAugust 5, 2015 at 10:23 am #357029
They’re hiring new comedians to be players on the show and nobody would be better than Matthew Broussard. He’s 27 years old and has been on shows on MTV2 (Guy Code & Not Exactly News). You guys should watch is stand up. The general public would like his style. Also they should hire Latino, Asian, and Middle Eastern cast members. They always complain about black people, what about the other minorities?August 5, 2015 at 10:47 am #357030
Get previous cast members to host, JLD, Amy Poehler, and Bill Murray (even though I doubt he would say yes)
Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.August 5, 2015 at 11:12 am #357031
I want a strong start of the presidential coverage. I think that would shake things up, and with players like Kate McKinnon as Hillary and the possibility of having Darrel Hammond to reprise his role as Donald Trump, they can be as poignant as the 2007-2008 season. But for that to happen, they need to hire better writers. Also, more cast members returning. I’m waiting for JLD to host again since 2012!August 5, 2015 at 11:17 am #357032
Amy Schumer and The Weeknd for the season premiere? Yes! Over and done.August 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm #357033
If one of the hosts was “Weird Al” Yankovic, I think I would totally die.

Better writing for oneAugust 5, 2015 at 4:42 pm #357035
Frankly, the show always gets “mixed” reviews. It’s hit or miss. That’s the nature of the show. (At least as long as I’ve been seriously watching, which was a season or 2 before Tina Fey)
Hopefully, the cast is working on their GOP candidates impressions. Save Leslie Jones for weekend update bits and small cameos because she cannot carry a sketch. Utilize Mooney and Bennett more (theyre personal favorites of mine). Try a whole season without a singing monologue. And, yeah, Amy Schumer needs to host (with Bill Hader and Wiig making a surprise appearance please)August 6, 2015 at 10:55 am #357036
I would love to see this people hosting:
Kat Dennings (I feel like she would be great)
Anne Hathaway (to promote The Intern)
Kirsten Wiig (to promote The Martian)
Amy and Tina (together. That would be awesome, to promote Sisters)
Jack Gyllenhaal (to promote Everest/Demolition)
Joseph Gordon-Levitt (to promote Snowden/The Walk/ The Night Before)August 6, 2015 at 7:13 pm #357037
I would love to see Ty Burrell host.August 6, 2015 at 9:10 pm #357038
Biggest thing for me is better digital shorts. The ones from last season were mostly in the meh to awful range. Only a few of the shorts were even memorable. And none of them involved the weird deadpan acting and low quality camera work that has almost become synonymous with Kyle Mooney. I like him in sketches, but his shorts do nothing for me.
