Which contenders for the Emmy race are you really passionate about? Who really really deserves it this year in your opinion? Please pick just maximal two per category… feel free to nominate the following in your GoldDerby TV Awards ballots

I passionately want to see the following ones included:

Drama Series: I really really want to see The Good Wife in this race, not just because it would be the only Broadcast series but because I think they did a terrific job this season. I’m hoping Boardwalk Empire doesn’t get through and leaves the spot open for The Good Wife.

Drama Actor: William H. Macy really deserves a nomination this year! I just love him and Felicity Huffman together and I think he did a terrific job this year on Shameless.

Drama Actress: I’m rooting for Glenn Close to get nominated again for Damages! The last episode, especially the last scene of season 4 was so superbly acted.

Drama Supporting Actor: What made season 4 of Damages special was John Goodman! He did such an intense job playing powerful Howard Erickson. On the other hand I think it would be a shame to not nominate Alan Cumming again for his performance on The Good Wife. The name Eli Gold says enough…

Drama Supporting Actress: Game Of Thrones all the way! I just love the portrayals by Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey! They both do a terrific job playing two powerful women competing in a men-dominated world…

Drama Guest Actor: Dylan Baker, Dylan Baker, Dylan Baker! I still don’t understand why he wasn’t nominated last year for his portrayal of Colin Sweeney on The Good Wife. His character is one of the most interesting and complex characters on the show and he amazes me every time he’s on screen!

Drama Guest Actress: It’s practically the same here as in the Drama Guest Actor category: How could people not consider Carrie Preston for her amazing portrayal of Elsbeth Tascioni on The Good Wife? How is it possible that this woman has never been nominated for any major awards besides an SAG award ensemble-nomination?

Comedy Series: Please give Desperate Housewives one last chance to shine! This last season wasn’t perfect but it was really good. Just think about the last ten minutes of the finale. This show just deserves a farewell nomination!

Comedy Actor: Will Arnett. Although Up All Night is far from perfect what he did on this show was so incredibly funny. For one of the funniest performances of the season he deserves this award like almost no one else.

Comedy Actress: Aside from the Desperate Housewives actresses I just have to root for Edie Falco. I can’t believe what this woman can do, especially in the stellar fourth season of Nurse Jackie. She’s one heck of an actress and I just love how her face looks so natural compared to most of the other actresses in this (and not just this) category. The fact that she looks so natural alone should give her this award.

Comedy Supporting Actor: He’s the freshest and funniest new face of the season! Max Greenfield as Schmidt on New Girl! No matter what he does on the show, he’s just amazingly funny.

Comedy Supporting Actress: It’s ironic how shortly after the end of the show Kathryn Joosten passed away. Her portrayal of from cancer suffering Karen McCluskey on Desperate Housewives was heartbreaking. And considering how ill she was in real life the effort she made to make all these wonderful scenes alone deserves the nomination.

Comedy Guest Actor: James Marsden really made my season by playing Liz’s better half on 30 Rock. He was hilariously funny and enriched the show very much. On the other hand you just had to love Hugh Dancy on The Big C. He wasn’t funny, but you just fell in love with his character and the portrayal of the fatally ill Lee Fallon.

Comedy Guest Actress: Aside from Abigail Breslin on Little Miss Sunshine I’ve never seen such a funny performance by a young actress. What an amazing and convincing performance by Chloe Grace Moretz on 30 Rock! I just loved her scenes.

I hope I could convince you to vote for some of these people and shows!

While I think getting multiple nominations will not be a problem, I feel most passionate about Amy Poehler winning an Emmy this year!  I want Amy to win so bad and don’t really care what happens in any other category as long as she takes home an Emmy in September.

I want Jane Krakowski to win so bad. Comedic performer of the year and not even a lock for a nomination, sad…
Besides her, I’m rooting for Girls, Martha Plimpton, Garrett Dillahunt, Damages, Chris Messina, Rose Byrne, Carrie Preston, Lucy Liu and Claire Danes. Although the latter probably doesn’t need my support.

Hot in Cleveland – Getting some recognition
Parks and recreation – Getting the recognition they deserve ( writing, acting,)
Veep – They have a really good cast, i like them.
Larry David – Getting his acting Emmy!!!
Curb Your Enthusiasm – One of the best tv series ever

As for Desperate Housewives……… I don’t feel that they should get nominations just because it’s their last season…….. To me it was by far not the funniest comedy of the year. And the whole thing with Kathryn Joosten, i mean i really like her and she could of probably won for guest actress this year, but instead she submitted supporting…….and honestly i’m not that centimental. I mean yes she did have a few good scenes this season, but am i the only one who barely noticed her this season??

Oh and Adam scott also. I mean i have to admit that in Season 3 he was…..just there. But in Season 4 his character has really grown and i would like to see him get nominated. He won’t win, but maybe he will get a nomination.

Wendie Malick, Regina King and Emmy Rossum. I’d love to say Anna Torv but I’ve already given up on her.

You have a point there, yes. But I think she wasn’t on screen that much this season due to her condition and her health. I also think she should’ve gone Guest but I just truly want her and the whole series to get some noms. Desperate Housewives was the show that got me interested in TV series and I don’t think any show could ever catch my eye the way Desperate Housewives and its actors/actresses did.

I’m most passionate about Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, Jane Krakowski, Nick Offerman, Wendie Malick, Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield. I’m passionate against Laura Linney, Betty White, Jon Cryer and anything else Showtime except Weeds.

But I’m most passionate about Raising Hope. The best comedy of the year that prettymuch magically got renewed for a third season deserves recognition in every category for which it is eligible.
