What does anybody think Vera Farmiga should submit as her episode if she gets nominated for Bates Motel? Post your opinions.
Also explain why she should submit the episode you choose.
The Pilot. Farmiga steels the show – it’s the scene where we think she killed her husband, it’s when she introduced to Norman to the motel, and of course, the rape and murder. It is unlike her competitors, it is also less alienating. How so? We assume that emmy voters, unlike critics, are not knee deep in their love for this show, so the throw them in the deep end with a midseason episode could be detrimental. I think this is unlike what Claire Danes faced last year, at least before nominations we we’re all convinced Homeland was a very emmy friendly show, so submitting a tape like the Vest would be fine, as opposed to the pilot. Farmiga needs to introduce voters to Bates Motel, not confuse them about it, her perfomance in several episodes is what should be the focus, but the politics will be a blinder. Go with the pilot.
Leonard, who have universal studios previously campaigned successfully to a nomination and/or win? Also who else has been previously nominated from A&E
The show’s Emmy campaign is funded by Universal Television and A&E. Shirley Jones received a Guest Actress in a Drama Series nomination for the A&E show The Cleaner. Universal Television has other shows from NBC that have successfully won and have been nominated for Emmys.
