If you had to recommend to someone like me, who wont wade through every single show for the goods, what single episode of your favorite contending show would you suggest to potential voters?

    AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ASYLUM
    Episode 2.12 “Continuum”

Brilliant from start to finish and containing some of the best work by Lange and Conroy of either season.

This thread should be renamed so that a different word than “favourite” is used since what you are asking is closer to maybe “representative” or “demonstrative”.

Or not necessarily “demonstrative” but “the best the season has to offer.” Since they’re not exactly the same.

I loved the Game of Thrones episode Blackwater. I know I’m not original at all seeing as it’s one of thier most praised episodes but I honestly felt like it was one of the best hours of TV I’ve seen in a long time. The acting (shout out to emmy snubbed Lena Headey) was incredible, the production values were amazing, and the story was exciting and riveting but also heartbreaking. However not a great episode for someone who doesn’t watch the whole show so it probably shouldn’t be the only episode you watch.

For that I’d refer you to the The Office episode The Injury. Nothing especially remarkable happens in it but it is laugh out loud hilarious and it gives you just enough of the character dynamics to fall in love with them. Still makes me laugh every time. Maybe I should something more heartfelt like Casino Night where Jim finally confesses his love for Pam, but you won’t appreciate it if you haven’t watched their relationship , so again, shouldn’t be the only episode you watch. Try The Injury anyone and you may just have to binge watch.
