In recent years, we’ve seen Game of Thrones, Hannibal, American Gods, The Leftovers, and The Handmaid’s Tale, and there are many others in development, a notable one being the Barry Jenkins-helmed adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer-winning The Underground Railroad for Amazon (sometimes they don’t work out, like HBO’s adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s The Corrections).

Which novel (or, in GOT’s case, cycle of novels) would you like to see next? And, of course, how do you think your choice would fare with the Emmys, if adequately adapted and acclaimed?

I always thought that Gullivers Travels would work much better as a TV show than a movie.

Still waiting for an adaptation for A Child Called It. I guess it could be a mini-series, loose adaptation, and toned down a bit to flesh out the characters.
