I put Bill Murray in front of Finn Wittrock and Damien Lewis because name recognition obviously is a way bigger factor than we all expected, put The Knick #1 in directing also bc of name recognition, put both Burell and Bowen in higher spots, put Bessie for #1 in directing because the voters obviously love that movie, and put Peter Dinklage in 2nd place behind Banks.

I put Chlumsky in 1st from 2nd. I put Emilia in 2nd behind Headey and put Aduba in third ahead of Hendricks. I might put Hendricks in 3rd tomorrow.

I’m putting Joanne at #3 maybe #2 for drama supporting actress. I just put Transparent at #1 for comedy series I will probably switch to Veep tomorrow.

No changes. I was precting Whitford and Cusack as it is (And those are two great wins by the Academy) , Reg E Cathey winning is surprsing but in hindsight makes sense since this was a weak catergory overall. Also, he richly deserved to win last year which he didn’t.

The only one I can’t even fathom to understand is Margo Martindale. Everyone else did better then her in the category, even Khandi Alexender. I guess this is the academy’s way of rewarding the Americans after getting flack from everyone for snubbing it everywhere else. Maybe it wins writing too?

If Margo Martindale’s win says anything, it’s that industry favorites will win a popular vote and the impact of the episodes really don’t matter. So, I am even less confident in Lena Headey winning now, and Baranski or Hendricks will be the winner.

I learned that it was a waste of time watching these submissions when they did not mean anything in the guest categories.  Reg E did not deserve to win that award.  The rightful person was Courtney B. Vance who should have been nominated from Scandal and who deserved to win this year.  Also, I will say that Reg E was more deserving last year, but Joe Morton deserved that Emmy last year hands down.

Please do not get me started on Margo Martindale’s win.  I would love to have an investigative reporter talk to voters in the Drama Guest Actress catgeory and ask if they watched the submissions.  One of the responses will be “Were there submissions?” or “Heck no, I did not have time to watch them” or “I voted for her because I like her or I worked with her on this project.”

The only explanantion I have for Reg E. Cathey winning is that they felt bad  that he didn’t win last year and are making up for that. That’s all I can think of is maybe they were told he deserved it last year.

I’m starting to think I should put all of my sixth place contenders in the top slot. It’s like the guys in the chat said, I’m probably better off just randomly picking names out of a hat at this point.

My predictions are already fucked, I might as well go crazy. Going to put Chlumsky and Danes first, Burrell higher, Game of Thrones for series.

    I’m considering predicting Emma Thompson…

Otherwise…not making any more changes. I already spent a long time making predictions, and I already considered the fact that popularity and name recognition would be a factor.

Kevin Spacey. And i can’t wait for that acceptance speech. I’m putting Modern Family back at the top.
And Joanne Froggatt is looking pretty good right about now. William H Macey as well.
At least with all this randomness, everybody has a shot. Let the chips fall where they may. Felicity Huffman, Silicon Valley. And now watch as Transparent and Game of Throwns follow the Orange is the New Black/True Detective trajectory of last year: Win a bucket load of Creative Arts Emmys, gets sidelined at the Prinetime Emmys.

I might switch Taraji P. Henson and Viola Davis because the former has a buzzier and more popular character but we’ll see.
I also might switch Hamm with Chandler, the latter is my winner and I as predicting him for a long while but I got caught in Hammpaign.
And I might switch Tituss Burgess with Ty Burrell both of them are deserving but Burrell is more popular so I’m not sure

Yes, it absolutely changes my predictions, lol. I knew there would be rubberstamping, but after that Martindale win, I didn’t realize it would be THAT bad.

I am not going to pick the person in the most popular show, because I don’t think most voters would even know what’s popular, since I am not convinced they watch much of anything at all. I am going to go by name.

So, I am literally going to go through the list of acting nominees and pick off the most respected veteran for the win:

    Comedy
    Actor: Jeffrey Tambor
    Actress: Lily Tomlin
    Supporting Actor: Andre Braugher
    Supporting Actress: Allison Janney

    Drama
    Actor: Kevin Spacey
Actress: Viola Davis (or Robin Wright, can’t decide)
    supporting actor:Jonathan Banks
Supporting Actress: Christine Baranski (but possibly Lena Heady)

    Limited/Movie
    Actor: Richard Jenkins
    Actress: Frances McDormand
    Supporting Actor: Bill Murray
    Supporting Actress: Kathy Bates
