If you had the power to off one TV show, and just one, what would it be?August 17, 2013 at 9:22 pm #294640
God I don’t even know where to begin….
Yes I do…every show with the names “Real Housewives” and “Kardashian” in it.
Some others that need to die a quick death…
1. Anger Management
2. Every Tyler Perry Series
3. The Exes on tv Land- end don’t ever subject me to Kirsten Johnston again.

Bad shows are okay. The worst are bad shows that people pass off as good. I guess my vote goes to Scandal. Trashy fun exists, but that is just trash.August 18, 2013 at 1:03 am #294651
I think most shows, even the crappy ones, have their place. Once good shows that become crap bother me. So, for that reason Downton Abbey comes to mind. It’s way too arbitrary to ever get its season one magic back, and it’ll likely continue to eat up Emmy nods that should be going elsewhere. Even if you approach it purely as a soap, these last couple of seasons don’t work. Dexter should have ended a couple of seasons earlier. Two and a Half Men and 2 Broke Girls are not only bad but offensive. That’s a pretty deadly combination. Ray Donovan should not be getting a second season. It’s an uninspired, wannabe edgy cable drama. And I fear more of these thin carbon copies are on their way. House of Cards, House of Lies and The Bridge also fit that label, but those are at least passable.August 18, 2013 at 1:29 am #294652
You put a lot more thought into that. I especially like the Ray Donovan mention because that is another bad show passing off as good.
