There are so many strong performances in the drama categories this year. And there are other actors who have continuously tried to get nominated at the Emmys but haven’t been able to. What are your thoughts?May 7, 2012 at 3:15 pm #243639
Sagal or Graham.May 7, 2012 at 3:20 pm #243640
Lauren Graham is my personal favorite and I think she should have been nominated for Gilmore Girls. She got 2 SAG nominations, so it’s strange that she didn’t get any emmy love. She’s also a funny lady.
As much as I enjoy Nina Dobrev’s performance, I think she doesn’t have a chance, unfortunately.
Emily VanCamp is very good too, IMO. But if someone from Revenge will be nominated, it will be Madeleine Stowe.May 7, 2012 at 6:08 pm #243642
Katey Sagal. She’s ridiculously overdue.
Plus, it’s a damn shame she never got nodded for MWC.May 7, 2012 at 9:13 pm #243643
Off that list quite easily Katey Sagal.. For both of her shows.May 7, 2012 at 9:25 pm #243644
Just remembered, Ricci is already an Emmy nominee, for her guest shot on Grey’s Anatomy (2006). So she can be taken off the list.May 7, 2012 at 9:56 pm #243645
Anne Paquin.May 7, 2012 at 10:35 pm #243646
Anna Torv, it’s already time for her talent to be recognized.May 7, 2012 at 10:45 pm #243647
Emmy Rossum. She’s magnificent in ‘Shameless’.May 7, 2012 at 11:33 pm #243648
Of that list, it’s an easy pick: Katey Sagal. Even a Globe win couldn’t get her on the radar of the Emmys.
I would be fine with Lauren Graham but for Gilmore Girls, not Parenthood.
Madeleine Stowe should be in Supporting, despite how crowded it is.
Anna Torv delivered Emmy worthy material for season 3 of Fringe.
But c’mon…Katey Sagal not being here is a little ridiculous. I’m hoping she ends up pulling a Kyle Chandler.

Graham is great, but Rossum is just so darn good in Shameless. Within a second of starting a big dramatic scene she can easily bring tears to my eyes. To think Hargitay has a better chance at getting nominated before Rossum. Something is seriously wrong with that equation.
I didn’t think anyone could upstage William H. Macy, but she (and the rest of the cast to be honest) does it for 12 weeks straight. Love Macy in the show though.May 14, 2012 at 4:45 pm #243651
Madeline Stowe!May 15, 2012 at 3:27 am #243652
Never watched SoA. From this list, Anna Torv definitely. Rossum’s acting can be a little heavyhanded and irritating.
Not on the list I would say Anna Gunn.
