Which Emmy win(s) will make you the happiest this year? I have a few must-wins, but at the end of the day if Sarah Paulson prevails for “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” that means justice will have finally been served.

Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Keri Russell, Matthew Rhys, The Americans, Sarah Paulson, Sterling K. Brown, OJ for writing & directing, Laurie Metcalf for Horace and Pete.

Tony Hale and JLD losing to literally anyone in their categories.

Short-Form Animated Program “Steven Universe”- (The Answer)

That’s the ONLY one win that matters to me, the rest can literally go any way at all. Steven Universe NEEDS TO WIN, Adventure Time has already gotten its overdue recognition last year, now its time to recognize Steven Universe, the GREATEST SHOW ON TELEVISION, Animated or otherwise, in my honest opinion.

The fact that Cartoon Network won both Animated Program Awards last year gives me hope, but I’m still really scared the voters are just lazily going to check off Adventure Time when the show’s last season has been generally mediocre. Rebecca Sugar & co. have more than EARNED recognition for their modern masterpiece, and I am praying that the Emmys don’t drop the ball on this one.

Seriously, if Steven Universe loses to ANYTHING, I will literally cry. Hard. 🙁

The Americans and its leads. OJ losing Limited Series. I do want Veep to win everything, but I know how some people here get cheesed off with those rooting for that show, so please ignore.

I’m actually also rooting for Veep to win mostly everything, including Series, JLD, Tony Hale, Writing for “Mother”, Directing for “Kissing Your Sister” and I think even Martin Mull winning Guest Actor would be a deserving win. Even though Anna Chlumsky submitted the best episode she had, I still believe Allison Janney has the better episode and deserves to win again.

For me, GOT should be there but I’m hoping Emmys should have considered #Outlander also.

For Outlander, the actors as well as the historical setting are great and given that it’s an adaptation from a novel series with those that read the books loving their version is a feat.

Next year you might consider Netflix’s original “Stranger Things” also.

    Thanks!

To the annoyance of friends and family, I am notorious for watching again and again those television programs that I feel enrich me as a human being. It can be heart wrenching or joyous. It just has to be great.

This year the program I found myself drawn back to watching over and over again is Carpool Karaoke. James Corden brings a true joie de vivre and visibly relishes the opportunity to ride in a car with Adele singing together. Those 19 minutes of film feels like a real glimpse into Adele’s true self. She has moments of being perplexed by Corden’s enthusiasm but ultimately embraces his bubbling adoration.

I was thrilled to see the program nominated as Outstanding Variety Special. Without recognition in the categories for direction or writing, the celebration ends with the nomination. That’s okay. I am delighted to see my favorite program named one of the year’s best.

I LOVE Chlumsky but I also LOVE Mom, which is a totally underrated show, and I’m glad they recognize it through Janney, so I can’t root against her. I hope Chlumsky eventually (next season?) becomes a guest and wins in that category.

These three wins would make me not care about anything else – Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Judith Light and Jean Smart.

Gold Derby TV Awards FYC: Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life - Limited Series, Movie/Mini Actress (Lauren Graham), Movie/Mini Supp. Actress (Kelly Bishop)

The one win that would make me really happy is Louie Anderson for Baskets, but I would be also happy if Mr. Robot can win anything it’s nominated in, even in one category.

Sarah Paulson for The People V. O.J. Simpson. She’s long overdue. It’s her time. The Emmys finally rewarded Jon Hamm last year, so they should reward her this year.

Maggie Smith winning if she attended would make me unspeakably happy. Otherwise, Kerry Washington and Olivia Colman, particularly the former given how much of a shock it would be, would make me very happy. I’d also like to see Janney keep winning until Mom breaks through.

Paulson, Vance, and Brown for OJ. Suck it Cranston supporters. Viola Davis getting her second consecutive Emmy. Olivia Colman getting an Emmy to boost her profile stateside. Or Kathy Bates getting Emmy 3 (she has the most nominations in this category). Tracee Ellis Ross, Anthony Anderson, Niecy Nash upsetting their categories because each of them would greatly appreciate it. Louie Anderson because his role is audacious and he’s a deserving veteran. Rami Malek winning blocking Spacey’s triple crown. Maggie Smith getting her 4th Emmy to make her the first triple crowner with 7 awards from the big three.
