Are you like me and mourn the absence of some of your favorite TV stars from the Emmy nominations every year?

I have been hoping in vain that the TV academy would nominate Eden Sher for Comedy Supporting Actress for her work as Sue Heck, eternal optimist and all-around do-gooder, on “The Middle.” She is the heart and soul of that show and should have a shelf full of Emmys by now.

Who is on your wish list this year?

Miguel Angel Silvestre (Sense8), but yeah it’s not happening. Ever.

The Leftovers in almost every category. Especially Drama Series, International Assassin for Best Writing, Justin Theroux, Carrie Coon, and Regina King.

Love for the non Jean Smart and Jesse Plemmons Fargo supporting cast. Particularly Bokeem Woodbine, Cristin Milioti, and Rachel Keller.

Richard Armitage to get into Best Drama Guest Actor for Hannibal

Horace and Pete to do really well especially Laurie Metcalfe, Edie Falco, Alan Alda, and Episode 3 for Best Writing

Oh and The Americans! Best Drama Series, Rhys and Russell, and Best Writing

I feel like I’ve already written the same thing on 100 threads but what’s one more, right?

The Americans: Series, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor x2, Guest Actress (Mahendru), Writing, Directing.
Penny Dreadful: Series, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Guest Actress, Writing, Directing.
You’re the Worst: Series, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Guest Actor, Writing.
    The X-Files: Actress
Lady Gaga for AHS: Hotel | Thomas Middleditch & Zach Woods for Silicon Valley | Jon Bernthal, Charlie Cox & Vincent D’onofrio for Daredevil | Anna Camp for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

I feel like I am forgetting some of them but anyway, these are more than enough.

The Leftovers – literally everything and everyone
The Americans – ditto, save for Margo Martindale
Mom – More than just Allison Janney – ideally Anna Faris and Comedy Series
Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga for Bates Motel
Almost everyone on Orange Is the New Black not named Uzo Aduba

    Jon Bernthal in Daredevil
Andrew Lincoln & Melissa McBride in The Walking Dead
Stephen Amell and Neal McDonough in Arrow
Mandy Patinkin and Rupert Friend in Homeland
    Linda Cardinelli in Bloodline
    Kristen Ritter in Jessica Jones
Dominic West and Maura Tierney in The Affair (as well as the show itself)
    Liev Schreiber in Ray Donovan

Did Person of Interest air enough episodes to be eligible for the emmy’s this year? It started in May so I’m not sure. If it is eligible then I would love to see Michael Emerson and Amy Acker be nominated. Unfortunately for Jim Caviezel the category is too stacked which is a shame since he’s great too.

11.22.63 for limited series and James Franco for best actor in a limited series.

Is Miranda Otto in Homeland considered an underdog? If so then add her too.
