“Archer” is taking a huge leap in this year’s Emmy race by attempting to compete in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. To help get people to take notice of the show, FX is sending out DVDs of the complete fourth season to all Emmy voters. Watching all 13 episodes may prove a bit daunting to the members of the Academy, so why don’t we help them out?

Which episodes of season four would you recommend TV Academy members watch? Which episodes do you think are the funniest but could also be very accessible to someone who may not have seen the show before? Select two or three episodes and post the titles in this forum. Let’s help “Archer” out!

    My three choices would be:
    “Legs”
    “Live and Let Dine”
    “The Papal Chase”

Both parts of “Sea Tunt” are worthy of watching.

I would suggest “Fugues and Riffs,” which they rightfully submitted for Writing, “Live and Let Dine,” and “The Honeymooners.”

I think “Legs” is a little too bloody for the Academy to find funny.

I definitely think “Fugues and Riffs” is a great episode but maybe not for a first timer to the show. Unless you’ve seen Bob’s Burgers and know what they’re referencing, then the real genius of the episode is kind of lost on the viewer.

I also understand your point about “Legs” being too bloody. I almost put “The Honeymooners” there in the first place. The part at the beginning with Pam banging her gyro against her crotch was hilarious.

Anyone else got suggestions for Academy voters?

“The Papal Chase” followed by “Live and Let Dine” followed by “Sea Tunt”.

So, Emmy voters, are you listening? Okay, probably not, but if you are, watch these episodes on your Archer season four screener:

    “Live and Let Dine”
    “The Papal Chase”

If you like what you see then also watch “Fugues and Riffs”, “The Honeymooners” and “Sea Tunt” (Parts 1 & 2).

If you think the show is funny, then make sure you put it on your ballot to be nominated for Comedy Series!
