Of all the actors that have been in popular shows as guest stars which do you feel should have won best guest actor or guest actress in either comedy or drama?? The one that sticks out at me is Raymond Cruz for Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad I thought he should have won when I saw him in season two of BB back in 2008 but was so sad he was snubbed. Also I thought Jon Hamm should have won for 30 Rock in that same year. Thoughts?

The first one that came to my mind of late is Ray Romano for Parenthood.  He had one or two episodes in the fifth season, airing the 2013 to 2014 season, that he truly could have been competitive with centering on his character Hank’s discovery that he may has Asperger’s Syndrome.  Joe Morton ended up winning for Scandal that year, a performance so showy and baity that I doubt anyone could have stopped him, but if Jason Ritter was nominated in this category for Parenthood, Romano certainly should have been, too.

Ray Romano was amazing in Parenthood and totally deserved an emmy but I think no one took him serious because he won an emmy in comedy acting in 2002.

Without question Kate Hudson for Glee season 4, she had both dramtic and comedic performances in her arc, she proved she can triple threat, her comedic timing is great and is the focus of the screen whenever she is on it

Minnie Driver – Will & Grace
Hilarious performance in every single episode she was on. And her name certainly should’ve helped even if she was never a big star. She did manage a nomination for The Riches years later after all (which she should have won too).

Woody Harrelson – Will & Grace
Another perfect performance on a show that did get plenty of nominations in these categories. I always thought he was inelegible for the number of episodes he was in thinking he was in too many, but he was only in 3 episodes for the third season (counting the finale as 1 episode) and 4 epsidoes for the fourth. So what the hell? Was he not submitted? His name alone should’ve been enough.

    Amy Ryan – The Office
Did they even get one guest star nominated? Ever?

    Henry Winkler – Arrested Development
I asume he was inelegible in season 2 with over 6 episodes. But what about season 1?

I loved Zach Gilford in Friday Night Lights but he was supporting not guest.
