In our video chat with Walton Goggins today —
I promised that we’d advise him on which episode of ‘Justified’ he should submit to Emmy jurors assuming he get gets nommed again. Let’s hear your views in this thread, which I will share with Walton …
I think he should submit “Loose Ends” or “Harlan Roulette.” He gives the very big, grand-standing speech in “Loose Ends” and gets everyone on his side for the election. While the speech is excelent, it is short and is the only thing he does that episode. ‘Harlan Roulette” is good because Boyd has a lot more to do in the episode and his performance is just as good. Both episodes would be a good submission for him.
Loose Ends of course, if you want to check moe of me justified submissions check me television grades on the thread for them.
“Loose Ends” is the one. Very memorable performance.
It really is a tough choice between those two episodes.
I think his greatest scene all season was the big speech in Loose Ends, but he didn’t have a lot more to do in that one (that strategy worked for Peter Dinklage last year, though).
There is much more to do in Harlan Roulette, and he has that great scene where he takes back the bar.
