So far, there are still some shows from ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC that have yet to be renewed or cancelled for next year. While some of these shows are certain to be renewed (i.e. Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Modern Family, Law & Order: SVU, etc.) some of these shows are still “on the bubble”. So, since it has been proven before that very important people have a history of looking at these boards, let’s all pitch in and give our opinions of what shows deserved to be renewed or cancelled next season and why.

Here are the list of shows from each network that have yet to be renewed or cancelled:

    ABC:
    Body of Proof
    Castle
    Grey’s Anatomy
    Happy Endings
    Last Man Standing
    Malibu Country
    The Middle
    Modern Family
    Nashville
    The Neighbors
    Once Upon a Time
    Red Widow
    Revenge
    Scandal
    Suburgatory

    CBS:
    Criminal Minds
    CSI: New York
    Golden Boy
    Rules of Engagement
    Two and a Half Men
    Vegas

    FOX:
    The Cleveland Show
    Glee
    Touch

    NBC:
    1600 Penn
    Chicago Fire
    Community
    Deception
    Go On
    Grimm
    Guys with Kids
    Law & Order: SVU
    The New Normal
    Parenthood
    Parks & Recreation
    Revolution
    Up All Night
    Whitney

ABC: Renew Happy Endings, please! This is a great show but it’s been treated horribly by ABC, moving around in time slots for years. It’s hard to build a good following for a TV show when people don’t know when it’s on. I think the ensemble cast here is one of the best I’ve seen in years. The comedy is sort of absurdist and the jokes are tightly packed in episodes. I started watching this year and fell in love.

Scandal. I hope they renew but give it a shorter order, like 16 episodes or something. This is a cracky, guilty pleasure show but because it’s so off-the-rails it’s in danger of becoming too silly. I think a shorter, tighter season could prevent this.

Grey’s Anatomy. Please cancel this already! I stopped watching last year because I just couldn’t stand to see this show that was once a pop culture phenomenon, must-see TV, turn into this overstuffed, melodramatic (and not in a good way!) dreck. Grey’s Anatomy should serve as a cautionary tale for Scandal about what not to do. This show could have gone out on top years ago, but instead it’s gone on, dying a slow and ultimately very painful death. The truth is this show hasn’t been consistently good in nearly FIVE years — this will be renewed because it pulls in more than 10 millions viewers a week (how?!) and the main players have all signed contracts to 2014. Still…

Don’t care about any of the other ones.

CBS: I don’t watch anything on CBS and don’t plan to soon. I caught a few episodes in syndication of Two and a Half Men once and was appalled at how unfunny it was. How has this show lasted nearly a decade?

Fox: I don’t watch any of these show, don’t care.

NBC: NBC has ordered a ton of comedy and drama pilots for the upcoming fall season and their sheer inability to schedule shows smartly (Hannibal being the most recent example) is continually bewildering. It’s obvious that 1600 Penn, Deception, Up All Night, and Whitney are toast. SVU will be renewed, as will Revolution and Chicago Fire. I think Community is done, but Parks & Rec will stay. Parenthood should also be back because that pulls in great numbers (for NBC), and it’s also a hit with critics — they need to give it more than a shortened order next season. The problem with NBC is the utterly weird gaps between shows and the general gaps in their schedule overall. Revolution, which was a verified hit in the fall, went off the air for 4 months and has come back to smaller numbers. Who is scheduling primetime over there?

Not those kinds of “very important people” at all.

    4)The Middle :Its really funny.
    5)Nashville: It’s amazingly good.
6)Parks and Recreation: Dear NBC, you lost 30 Rock and your other comedies are pretty bad besides “Go On”. Save this one.

Honestly, if Happy Endings getting cancelled leads to USA picking it up, I’d probably be for that. Give it to a network that cares about it.

And I would give Once Upon A Time one more season as well. Not loving this season but maybe they can recapture the magic of the first one.

This is my take on what the networks should do with each of these series:

    ABC:
Body of Proof—Cancel.   Send Dana Delaney to another more established show like “Grey’s Anatomy” or “Scandal” where she’d have more powerful material to work with.     This show is a bust.
    Castle— Renew.
    Grey’s Anatomy– Renew
Happy Endings– Renew, this show needs to keep going.
Last Man Standing— Unfortunately, Renew. It does well enough on Fridays.
Malibu Country– Cancel.  The network can do better than this.
The Middle– Renew. Not Sure who, but somebody watches this.
    Modern Family— Obviously, Renew.
    Nashville– Cancel. The ratings suck.
    The Neighbors— Cancel.
    Once Upon a Time— Renew
Red Widow— Cancel. I thought it already was.
    Revenge— Renew
    Scandal — Renew
    Suburgatory—Renew

    CBS:
    Criminal Minds- Renew
CSI: New York– Cancel. Put it out of it’s misery.
Golden Boy– Renew, I suggest a move to Sunday’s paired with The Good Wife
    Rules of Engagement— Cancel.
Two and a Half Men— Cancel.
Vegas— Renew, keep on Friday with Blue Bloods and Undercover Boss.

    FOX:
    The Cleveland Show- Cancel
Glee— Renew for a final season of 13 episodes.
    Touch— Cancel.

    NBC:
    1600 Penn- Cancel.
    Chicago Fire— Renew
    Community— Cancel.
    Deception- Cancel
    Go On— Renew
    Grimm— Cancel
    Guys with Kids— Cancel
Law & Order: SVU— Renew for 1 final season
    The New Normal—Renew
    Parenthood—- Renew
    Parks & Recreation— Renew
    Revolution— renew
    Up All Night—cancel
    Whitney—cancel

I do think it would have better odds at USA, it’s small audience would seem much bigger to USA than to ABC, and I think it could be a crown jewel at USA.

why Fox renewed Touch for a second season and moving it to fridays? now the rating is awful.
I bet NBC will keep both Go On and Community for another season but cancel The New Normal.
I quit watching Grey’s Anatomy after episode five this year because of Person of Interest.

I think the absurdist humor of Happy Endings fits in with the quirkier dramas on USA (like Psych), and it would go great with Modern Family reruns. I just really hope this show is saved. It is so wonderful.

Like it or not, Two and a Half Men is getting renewed. Its ratings are just too good.

    I agree. My predictions are:

    ABC:
Body of Proof – Cancel. The ratings are bad. It’s ratings continue to slip. It went from being a Top 20 show it’s first season, to being a Top 50 show last season. God only knows what it will be this season.
    Castle – Renew
    Grey’s Anatomy – Renew
Happy Endings – Cancel. I mean, have you seen the commercials for its move to Fridays? “You can save Happy Endings”
    Last Man Standing – Renew
Malibu Country – Renew. This still brings in good ratings for a Friday night show. And Reba has a strong fan base.
    The Middle – Renew
    Modern Family – Renew
Nashville – Renew. Thanks to critic success.
    The Neighbors – Renew
Once Upon a Time – Renew
    Red Widow – Cancel
    Revenge – Renew
    Scandal – Renew
Suburgatory – I’m not quite sure yet. Right now I’m calling this a renewal.

    CBS:
Criminal Minds – Renew. Still a top rated show on CBS
    CSI: New York – Cancel
    Golden Boy – Cancel
    Rules of Engagement – Cancel
Two and a Half Men – Renew

    FOX:
    The Cleveland Show – Renew
    Glee – Renew
    Touch – Cancel

    NBC:
    1600 Penn – Cancel
    Chicago Fire – Renew
    Community – BARELY Renew
    Deception – Cancel
    Go On – Renew
    Grimm – Renew
    Guys with Kids – Cancel
Law & Order: SVU – Renew
    The New Normal – Cancel
    Parenthood –  Renew
    Parks & Recreation – Renew
    Revolution – Renew
    Whitney – Cancel
    Up All Night – Cancel

Glee needs to be cancelled now. Its painful to say because I love it, but every time it starts a new season, it just gets more painful to watch. The show started out as edgy and topical with excellent character development, very good song choices and less focus on relationships and more focus on the pains of being unpopular in high school. The in Season Two, it started to concentrate on relationships, but still kept some of the topical issues (marriage after divorce, death of a family member etc.). Then in Season Three it slumped and became like that of Gossip Girl or Vampire Diaries – too clear and smooth for a previously edgy comedy show. Now in Season Four, it has become absurd. EVERYTHING is about relationships now. Everyone is just trying to woo everyone else. It has become ridiculous with this transgender character (sure, they are really intelligent to introduce a transgender character, but they are really overdoing it now with having “Unique” permanantely in female clothing)

    So just cancel it

I don’t think theyre going overboard with having Unique in female clothing permanately. At the school I teach at, we have a student that is a man, but wears female clothes everyday. I think having Unique in permant female clothing is an example of the show facing a reality of what is going on in today’s world.
