The following broadcast network series will start their second seasons this fall, I’m curious which of these programs you think will be renewed for a third and which will get cancelled before the season is over?

    The Catch
    Dr. Ken
    Quantico
    The Real O’Neals
    Secrets & Lies
    Code Black
    Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
    Life In Pieces
    Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
    Legends of Tomorrow
    Supergirl
    Rosewood
    Blindspot
Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon
    Chicago Med
    Little Big Shots
    Shades of Blue
    Superstore

    My thoughts are as follows:

Scream Queens is the show most in danger of cancellation. If numbers don’t improve in season two it is a goner.

Superstore and Shades of Blue both need a big boost to see a third season.

Code Black needs to see a huge uptick in demos or it will be done after two seasons.

Blindspot will be interesting to watch, to see if it will flounder in a new timeslot or flourish.

I think Quantico and Chicago Med are the two most likely to see a third season.

    I doubt that.

I bet Scream Queens will get renewed — Fox has a lot of faith in it, plus I bet it will learn from its mistakes. It has been pretty successful when you factor in Hulu and next day ratings.

Similarly, NBC has put a lot of faith in Superstore. It did very well for a tiny NBC comedy the debuted 11 episodes in Winter 2015-16. Its debut season got stronger as it went along. I’m hoping it pulls a Parks and Recreation and becomes a big cult hit, because I’m certainly a fan. Plus, it is debuting its S2 premiere after the Olympics in August. Its chances of renewal are higher than most, I’d say.

Noah Galvin really f*cked things up for The Real O’Neals – yikes. Not sure about that one.

Quantico is a big hit. Similarly to Scream Queens, its big, juicy fun- it will get renewed.

Don’t care about the rest – lol

I don’t think The Catch is going to be cancelled due to the Shonda-factor, but I could be wrong.

I feel the same way, ABC seems to give Shonda a lot of free reign. Sometimes to the detriment of the network, IMHO.
