So who deserves to be nominated but likely won’t be?

Lead Actress Drama- Emmy Rossum, Shameless

I think she certainly deserves to be nominated as much as anyone not named Danes or Marguiles.  She is great on that show.  Much better than other contenders like Moss, Washington, and Russell IMO.  I’m also sure Close would be fine if voters lets her fade into the sunset with the 2 Emmys shes already won as her show was kicked off FX 2 years ago.

Comedy Supporting Actor-  Adam Driver, Girl

If Girls gets showered with nominations but voters leave Driver out of that Modern Family heavy category than I give up.  He is the best thing about Girls IMO.  I’ll be so pissed if all Modern Family guys get in not making room for Driver.  I also don’t think any SNL castmembers deserve to be in this category.  Sorry but SNL is not anywhere near it’s top form it was in the 70’s and 90’s. It is cringeworthy bad at times lately.

Lead Actress Comedy- Laura Dern, Enlightened

Yes the show has been cancelled.  But anyone who has seen her performance knows it was one of the best on TV.  I’m sure Edie Falco can sit a year out to make room for Dern.

Supporting Actress Drama- Monica Potter, Parenthood

The Emmys have all but ignored Parenthood.  If would be a shame if they ignore Potter after the season she had.  Especially seeing other contenders like Panjabi, Frogatt, and Baccarin had weak seasons.

    SOUTHLAND!!!! SOUTHLAND!!! SOUTHLAND !!!! SOUTHLAND!!!

Deserves nominations for Outstanding Drama Series, Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Regina King) and 2 nominations for Supporting Actor in a  Drama Series (Shawn Hatosy and Michael Cudlitz).

If they don’t know why, go view either Chaos or the finale.

Emmy Rossum NEEDS to be nominated, in what was the best season yet of Shameless.  I also believe her work is in the top tier of female actresses on television.

    I also forgot 2 others:

Lead Actor Comedy- Jake Johnson, New Girl

Seriously.  It’s time to drop Jon Cryer. And if your looking for someone worthy to take his slot Jake Johnson would be very worthy!

Supporting Actor Drama-  Corey Stoll, House of Cards

Many have Stoll making it in but voters not familiar with him may leave him off.  If they go crazy for House of Cards he should make it as he was one of the best things about it.

Lead Actress in a Comedy Series:
    – Laura Dern, Enlightened

Lead Actor in a Comedy Series:
    – Jake Johnson, New Girl

Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series:
    – There are several worthier contenders who won’t get nominated (Phillipps, Mamet, etc.) but if I had to chose, I would put all three of the women from Happy endings. Elisha Cuthbert, Casey Wilson and (IMO, this season’s MVP) Eliza Coupe

Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series:
    –  Damian Wayans Jr, Happy Endings

Lead Actress in a Drama Series:
    – Emmy Rossum, Shameless (a big duhhh)

Lead Actor in a Drama Series:
    – Aden Young, Rectify or Timothy Olyphant, Justified

Supporting Actress in a Drama Series:
    – I can’t choose between Monica Potter (Parenthood) and Regina King (Southland)

Supporting Actor in a Drama Series:
    – The same as in supp. actress, just that in this case it’s between Coster-Waldau (GoT) and Cudlitz (Southland)

In series, I would say Happy Endings deserves a nod, while on the drama side both Southland & Justified deserve it more than Downton Abbey and Boardwalk Empire

I could see Enlightened managing a writing or directing nod. Monica Potter has an okay chance of breaking through. The most worthy show that is unlikely to receive any major rec is Southland. Justified deserves to be welcomed back to the Emmy party. Don’t see it happening though.

    No-brainer; Continuum in every available category, starting with Drama Series;
    Best Actor: Victor Webster
Best Actress: Rachel Nichols (career-best work in season 1 and is hitting it outta the park even more in season 2)
Best Supporting Actor: Tony Amendola, Stephen Lobo, Erik Knudsen
    Best Supporting Actress: Lexa Doig

And for The Adventures of Merlin, TV’s most deliciously evil villainess; Katie Wright (Morgana; Best Supporting Actress)

Comedy Lead Actress- Krysten Ritter(Don’t Trust…) Her performance of the Bitch in the title constantly delivers punch line after punch line flawlessly. This cancelled too soon show deserves recognition, most definitely in the way of Krysten’s performance.

Comedy Supporting Actress- Casey Wilson(Happy Endings) Casey is the punching bag of Happy Endings. The never in luck, loveless optimistic her character Penny is, is surprising complex for a comedy series. But Casey plays it like it’s nothing. Her delivery is spot on, and her physical comedy is genius. Happy Endings is an amazing show, and Casey is the cherry in top of that delicious sundae.

My faith in humanity and the world will peak if LAURA DERN gets in Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for ENLIGHTENED. There is much depth to her character and so many layers that it would be a shame for her to be left off just so filler noms can get in (Falco, McCarthy; good actresses who have won Emmys for their respective roles, but it’s time to bow out).

Laura Dern, Enlightened – Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
Mike White, Enlightened – Writing for a Comedy Series (“Agent of Change”)
Michael C. Hall, Dexter – Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Jonathan Banks, Breaking Bad – Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Rose Byrne, Damages – Supporting Actress in a Drams Series
Jennifer Carpenter, Dexter – Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Anna Gunn, Breaking Bad – Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Ray Stevenson, Dexter – Guest Actor in a Drama Series
Melissa Leo, Louie – Guest Actress in a Comedy Series
Hilary Swank, Mary and Martha – Lead Actress in a Telefilm
Sarah Paulson, AHS: Asylum – Supporting Actress in a Telefilm

But if I had to pick only one…Well, just read above.
