For me, it’s Taraji P. Henson, Alan Cumming, Michael J. Fox, Christine Baranski, Khandi Alexander, Angela Bassett, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, and Game of Thrones for best drama series, best writing, and best directing.July 19, 2015 at 10:04 am #354277
I LOVED this season of Game of Thrones and thought it was the best yet – however I don’t think Dinklage or Clarke should really be nominated. However I feel Dinklage should have won last year, so maybe they’re making up for it. I’d have had Maggie Smith or one of the OITNB ladies over Clarke anyday. “Unbowed Unbent Unbroken” I have no idea how it got in ahead of Hardhome for directing. It’s really really bizarre.
I hated “Empire” so Henson not getting nominated would have suited me fine!
How is Schrieber in Ray Donovan season 2? I’ve only seen the pilot and wasn’t overally impressed with it.July 19, 2015 at 10:15 am #354278

They love Jeremy Podeswa yet they have no idea who the hell Miguel Sapochnik is.
I wish the Directing Ballot would have been like Writing Ballot. No name on it, just the title of episode. I bet Soderbergh and Podeswa wouldn’t have been a shot then. Anyway I’m pretty confident Sapochnik will score a DGA nom. They particularly love to nominate the names they have been snubbed by Emmys.
Liev Schreiber was on the cover of Emmy magazine two weeks ago. I don’t what that means but well…July 19, 2015 at 10:23 am #354279
To me any of the supporting actress nominees, other than Lena Headey, who got in ahead of Maggie Smith. Otherwise I thought the nominations were pretty good this year although I would say Elisabeth Moss didn’t deserve a lead nomination but a supporting one instead.July 19, 2015 at 10:34 am #354280
Elisabeth Moss (was supporting at best)
Emilia Clarke (never thought she deserved either nomination)
Adam Driver (just one really good episode during the entire season)

MJF – David Hyde Pierce was the stronger guest star this season of “The Good Wife”
Khandi Alexander – Love her in Treme, but she really didn’t have a lot to do in this year in “Scandal”
Angela Bassett – Not sure why she got nominated as her character only served to give sassy one-liners when needed. Conroy would have been a better nominee despite a shorter storyline.July 19, 2015 at 11:27 am #354282
Margo Martindale is the obvious choice, but that goes without saying, so I’ll say Elisabeth Moss. Love the woman, excellent actress, but she simply isn’t lead. And she didn’t have the material. The slot could have gone to someone like Ruth Wilson.July 19, 2015 at 12:06 pm #354283
Elisabeth Moss (I love her)
Jim CarterJuly 19, 2015 at 12:42 pm #354284
Alam Cumming really didn’t have a good year in The Good Wife. I only have remembered a strong episode with him: Oppo Research. Peter Dinklage didn’t deserve a nod too, but I think he (and Lena Headey too) is the most incredible actor in the Game of Thrones’s cast, so it’s always likely seeing him in competition. Emilia Clarke (and her totally inability to show complex emotions through the face) was a bad decision.July 19, 2015 at 1:09 pm #354285
Elisabeth Moss (should have been nominated last year)

Pretty much 90% of the Guest nominees? Most who are barely in their episodes.
Elisabeth Moss to me is a supporting actress and with Mad Men having such a short season I don’t think she warranted a Lead spot over women who carry their shows.
Emilia Clarke. I mean come on.
Kevin Spacey. One of the most overrated performances currently securing a slot.
Jeff Daniels. That aired how long ago? How many episodes? Come on.July 19, 2015 at 1:29 pm #354288

6, only one less than Jon Hamm. Why should the air date matter?July 19, 2015 at 2:08 pm #354289
Zoe Kazan, Don Cheadle, Jeff Daniels, Louis C.K. (“SNL” only), Reg E. Cathey, Timothy Hutton, Elizabeth Banks, Tony Hale, Alan Cumming, & Jeremy PodeswaJuly 19, 2015 at 2:22 pm #354290
American Horror Story : Freak Show was GOD AWFUL…so besides Sarah Paulson, all these nominations makes no sense to me…
Mayim Balik did nothing all year. The writers let her down alot..
