Good LORD, this show got to me. Such a compelling and thought-provoking true crime documentary. I watched it all 10 episodes in about a week (which is a lot for me!)
Who else is as on board with it as me? Kudos, Netflix. You got yourself another winner here!December 29, 2015 at 3:36 pm #366542
I plan to start it as soon as I’m finished with Narcos… only three more episodes to go.December 29, 2015 at 9:57 pm #366543
It was phenomenal. I watched all 10 episodes over its release weekend. I was completely riveted by the story they were telling, which was both intriguing and heart breaking. Much like The Jinx and Serial this is another winner in the crime docu-saga. I’m particularly enjoying the effects that this show is having on the people too!December 30, 2015 at 10:05 am #366544
Totally engrossing! And the Brendan Dassey section just had my mind blown. Utter failure on the part of his court appointed defense laywer.December 30, 2015 at 11:46 am #366545
Right?! So many of the people on both prosecution teams are complete assholes. At times, I couldn’t believe what I was watching.December 30, 2015 at 12:32 pm #366546
Absolutely loved it – hopes it makes an impact in the doc categories at the upcoming Emmys. Didn’t the Jinx sweep last cycle? This one wasn’t as stylish but I found it slightly more engrossing overall.December 30, 2015 at 1:12 pm #366547
“Steven Avery prosecutor says Netflix series omitted key evidence”

Watched the whole thing in one day. Probably the best thing on TV all year.January 1, 2016 at 8:07 pm #366549
Finished today. Unbelievable stuff. The most rage inducing doc I’ve probably ever watched.January 1, 2016 at 10:24 pm #366550
I binged the entire thing overnight, from about 11pm to 9am this morning. It was incredible.January 2, 2016 at 3:04 pm #366551
A true standout for 2015. I got to episode 3 and i was literally holding my breath for the remaining 7 episodes.January 3, 2016 at 10:29 am #366552
Just finished it last night. Good lord…. such a maddening, and heartbreaking, story. Well done, Netflix.January 3, 2016 at 12:22 pm #366553
I just don’t understand what happened here. It’s so unbelievable. Specially the Brendan side of the story. That’s the one I just don’t get. How is that kid still in prison? His evidence was just not there. He made up a story and there was nothing to prove it was true. So…what? I think it was episode three when he showed up and said he had sliced her throat. Where’s the fucking blood? That was my question way back in episode 3 and episode 10 is over the kid is in jail and nobody answers my question. The rest of the story also has no evidence. So why is he guilty?
The Steven part of the story is more complicated because at least they may or may not have (of course they did) plant evidence against him. But the whole situation about Teresa never being in the places she was supposedly killed should’ve been enough. The mistrial should’ve come with Brendan’s admission of lie. That particular thing screwed Steven with that specific jury. And the 12th jury member allowed to come in just before the verdict was also a shitty move (although apparently Steven ok’d that one).
Don’t even get me started on the key. That fucking key that was 100% visible from that position but only showed up on search #7? Or how the RAV4 was so unbelieveably close to the start of the yard, or the bloody hair in the trunk of the RAV. Or how everything was clean in the garage and bedroom. Nope. No. Just no. Way too many questions left unanswered, I just don’t understand how as a jury member you can find any of them guilty. They might not look not guilty, but they don’t look guilty either.
The whole thing was amazing to watch. They middle part is just insane. I believe it was episodes 4,5,6,7 that have the most incredible material.
Also, has there ever been this ammount of douche faces in a series? The FBI guy with the blood, fucking Lenk, Kratz (!), the other guy who went in with Lenk and found the key, the other guy who always talked the press and got a beating from them each time, the one who said he saw the brothers on the highway, the Sylvia Fine lady with the dna. My God these people…
Seriously the reporters in the press room were hilarious. The long hair lady with the glasses who had that “seriously man?” face for 10 episodes, I thought somebody was going to chase her and kill her, the gray hair guy…
There are some Emmys coming this way I bet.January 3, 2016 at 12:23 pm #366554
And by the way, I’ll tell you the same thing I told my friends and those who recommended it first: Since you all liked this so much, go watch The Thin Blue Line, all 3 Paradise Lost documentaries, and more entertaining not so real stuff like Tabloid and The Imposter. Not to mention Capturing the Friedman’s which I always recommend whenever something like this comes up.
