The Comedy Central Roast is an annual event that divides people. Some find it a burst of vulgar genius, whereas others find the roasts crude. However, we can all agree that they make for scandalous, raw entertainment
Who should Comedy Central roast in 2013?
Here is a list of the previous roastees:
2003 – Denis Leary
2005 – Jeff Foxworthy
2005 – Pamela Anderson
2006 – William Shatner
2007 – Flavor Flav
2008 – Bob Saget
2009 – Larry the Cable Guy
2009 – Joan Rivers
2010 – David Hasselhoff
2011 – Donald Trump
2011 – Charlie Sheen
2012 – Roseanne Barr
2013 – ???
As you can see, it is broken down like this:
4 beloved comedians (Leary, Foxworthy, Saget and Cable Guy)
2 groundbreaking comediennes (Rivers and Barr)
3 “cheesy” televisions stars (Anderson, Shatner and Hasselhoff)
2 “trainwrecks” (Sheen and Flav)
1 miscellanous (Trump)
I want to compile a list of possible roastees for next year. The comment after this will contain the list, which I will edit
Lets see if we can make up a comprehensive list of possible roastees for next year. Comedy Central might not even know who they will honor and we might just give them some ideasOctober 23, 2012 at 8:14 am #264533

Lorne Michaels would be a good one as well.October 23, 2012 at 11:52 am #264539
Betty WhiteOctober 23, 2012 at 1:02 pm #264540
Chevy ChaseOctober 23, 2012 at 4:35 pm #264541
Might as well add Kid Rock and Willie Nelson to the list, as both have been in the works in the past but for some reason or another never actually got made. (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comedy_Central_Roast#Cancelled_roasts)October 24, 2012 at 9:22 am #264542
Kid Rock doesn’t seem the type who would take that type of humor. Though I’m a fan of Chelsea Handler, I doubt she’d be on board.
Chevy Chase got roasted on ’02 but I think it was from the Friars Club not CC so I doubt he’d want to put himself through it again. But considering the recent headlines that have been making the rounds, It would be funny if CC could snag him for next year.
I can see Seth McFarlane or Betty White roasted next. Or Lisa Lampanelli. With her recent stint on Celebrity Apprentice, they’d have a lot of ammo lol.
Maybe Jeff Ross or Gilbert Gottfried? Both KILL every time!!October 24, 2012 at 9:43 am #264543
Lorne Michaels would be a good one as well.
I totally considered that!
However, I don’t think he’d be down for it
I know, I think he’s too much of a control freak for that. NBC should let him produce a roast of himself with former SNLers. He’d like that.October 24, 2012 at 11:39 am #264544
Betty white was recently roasted by the friars club and i was pissed because it wasn’t televised. I wanna see Betty White get roasted! She was roasted before but that was in like the 70’s and not by comedy centralOctober 24, 2012 at 1:18 pm #264545
Don RicklesOctober 24, 2012 at 2:55 pm #264546
Betty White and Cloris Leachman seem like two people who could get rosted and then get their revenge when it’s their turn to speak. Something that didn’t come easy to some of the people who were roasted recently. It might be all about how old they are, they should have died already, like they did with Joan Rivers, but both seem like they could take everything they could throw at them and more.
Some pretty good guests could turn up for these two, including both Leachman and White in support of the other.
To roast somebody you need the BUT! at the end of each persons turn to say they’re good, great, a legend and so on, I doubt there is a good “BUT” after somebody takes shots at Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan. They should be up to it, it might be the most important thing they’ll do in 2013, but that “but” seems like a very important part in a roast.
