Pity poor Amy Poehler — she has no Emmys to show for her 13 Emmy nominations while her pal Tina Fey has eight!

Which of these bids should she have won?

Comedy Actress (2010 – 2014): “Parks and Recreation

Comedy Supporting Actress (2008, 2009): “SNL”

Comedy Series (2011): “Parks and Recreation”

Comedy Writing (2012): “Parks and Recreation”

Special Class Program (2013, 2014): Golden Globes

Variety Special Writing (2013, 2014): Golden Globes

She was nominated for 13 Emmys…6x for a show that was nowhere near a staple or a favorite for the Emmys. She is literally the only Parks & Recreation actor to be singled out by Emmy voters for an Emmy nomination. In both acting and writing.

So i wouldn’t call that hate. I would say she has those nominations because she is Amy Poehler. And that is not hate.

Tina Fey was on 30 Rock, a far more superior and funny show and character.

There are other actresses who have never received Emmy nominations that deserve the Emmy hate angle more than Poehler

In my opinion Parks and Rec is VASTLY superior to 30 rock, but to each their own.

Also imo, she easily deserved the emmy for the fourth season of parks and rec. It was the shows best season and she submitted one of the best tapes I’ve ever seen. The only reason JLD won that emmy is because she’s JLD, and no one will be able to convince me otherwise (and I like Veep, I would have given JLD the win for season 3 and maybe season 2).

I also would’ve given her the win for “The Debate”, also for the 4th season. An incredibly written episode. (I admittedly don’t watch Louie but I’d probably rank it above the other 3). And frankly I probably also would’ve given her the series win for it’s one nominated season. If you can’t tell I’m a big parks and rec fan.

Yeah, her season four tape “Win, Lose, or Draw” was a phenomenal submission that should have easily won. I also feel like JLD won because she was JLD in a brand new show, which meant an automatic rubberstamp (just like how she won over the superior Kudrow in 2005). Poehler really should have won by now, but sometimes you just can’t beat voter favoritism.

I said this in another thread that all of these snubs for Amy Poehler will strengthen her case for winning an Emmy outright in the future. B/c she’s a multi-talented hyphenate, there’s no reason she can’t pop up again in another series, guest spot, hosting gig, telefilms, or writing category. I think she should have been thrown a bone with at least a writing Emmy at this point.

There is actually pretty overwhelmiing evidence that Amy Poehler is their favourite thing about the show by far. Ask why they hate Nick Offerman.

Emmy hates Parks and Recreation, or at least doesn’t like it enough. Amy Poehler constantly gets nominated while the show is overlooked elsewhere, so they obviously like her.

I don’t think ‘Win, Lose or Draw’ was a very strong submission for Amy Poehler. It was a well-written episode, but it should have showcased her acting more, especially in terms of comedy. I doubt she would have won even if Veep hadn’t existed. The same could be said about ‘Flu Season,’ which was more of an ensemble episode. Now with Leslie and Ron being her potential submission, she could finally win.

She should have won in 2013 for “Emergency Response” and “Leslie and Ben.”

I would also support a win this year for “Leslie and Ron.”

I wouldn’t say she’s hated, if anything she is popular enough to consistently get nominated, even though her show is not a big Emmy player. Her nominations could even in fact be seen as name-checks, even though her performance itself is worthy anyway.

Poehler should have easily won the Emmy in 2012. Yes, JLD was very good in season one of “Veep,” but Poehler’s performance was the best thing about television that year. She should’ve won a writing Emmy that season too. Heck, she should have multiple writing Emmys. Even when she won the Golden Globe, I was ecstatic beause at least she FINALLY won a major award. But I’m not worried because I know, even though she probably won’t win this year, Amy Poehler will get her Emmy someday, and I’ll be cheering.

“Flu Season” she probably just missed out with McCarthy riding all of that buzz from “Bridesmaids” and her killer submission. Otherwise, “Emergency Response & Leslie & Ben” shouldv’e put her in the winner circle. Maybe they don’t hate her as much as its been just bad luck.
